Nets to play Two Pre Season Games at the Rock in October

http://www.northjersey.com/sports/de...to_Newark.html

Ratner continues to insist the Nets will be in Brooklyn to begin the 2011-2012 season. Though there has been no ground breaking.

I keep saying when all said and done, with a brand new state of the art Arena in Newark, the Nets will end up at the Rock. I continue to say that. Brooklyn is a pipe dream for Ratner as far as th Nets are concerned.

Especially in these economic times. No way does NYC need to build another new stadium after the whole Citi (TAXPAYERS) Field fiasco.

Good. Hopefully this is the first step in getting the Nets to come full time to the rock. I'm all for that.

Funny, didn't they insist they'd be playing in Brooklyn in 2009? Then 2010? Now it's 2011? Don't be surprised to see this team end up in Seattle just as a spiteful move by their owner unless Shaq and Vanderbeek can pull something off.

I'd love to see Shaq to get involed with our ownership. Not on hockey decisions of course.

Seriously that guy is such a failure of a owner. I feel bad for true Nets fans in NJ, but once the Nets start playing here they'll be more confident to watch their team. I know I'll actually follow the Nets a bit more if it happens, maybe even go to a game.

I'd have to agree.. they give out so many free tickets.. why not? If the team is somewhat decent..

I'm not trying to racially stereotype or anything.. but a basketball team in Newark should pay dividends.. Seton Hall hasn't really done that yet, but I believe the Nets would be able to.

I suggest those who really would like to see the Nets wearing Red, Black, and White in Newark go to the games.

If at the very least, to see an NBA basketball game at the Rock.

You were nervous when Hazell banked in a miracle shot at the end - admit it
