Thanks for the info, I think he can be at least a solid 3rd liner, probably a second liner. I think Leo and Phaneuf could work well, especially in that the sides won't neccessarily be set in stone, as both will be comfortable on either side.

Thank you for the stream Calculon. Just finished watching the last two Futurama movies, to get totally off topic haha.

4-0 now. Did I just see Olli double shifting with Lundmark/Nystrom?

Alright they are great. But it's been 19 minutes. Don't call them the best line in hockey yet.

No problem.

Nope, Joker wasn't double shifting, the 1st line were just about to play their 20th shift of the period with a 19:59 ice time.

Wow, our 1st line is just dominating. You guys don't know how happy I am. Finally, a 1st line center.

And this even a huge understatement. Leo was terrific in the first and while Jokinen will certainly get most of the love due to his two goals, I was even more impressed by Leo's play in the first twenty minutes.

Nevertheless, we should keep in mind that this was the perfect period from a Flames' perspective and on top of that the Flyers played very sloppy.

But it was certainly a great start for our new lineup.

I think it would be safe to say that the first period was pure and total Flames domination. They owned every statistical catagory, they owned that ice surface and most importantly they owned Niittymaki. The offensive pressure was strong, with the cycle being near to unstoppable. Not only that, but the fore check was so complete and so strong that the sheer amount of turnovers they caused was astronomical. And any worries anyone may have harboured about the new acquisitions were proven completely baseless with how the Flames seemed to be completely on fire all period long.

The penalty kill was Solid. They had good positioning and kept the front of the net clear so Miikka could easily see the shots. I also want to commend Kipper for his stellar rebound control. He sent every last rebound to a Flames player who then made no mistake in clearing the zone. Phanuef and Boyd had a golden chance to get things started, but just mis-timed the play by a fraction of a hair. The Power Play was stupendous!! They scored on the first man advantage, doing the grunt work along the boards and popping the puck free to Cammalleri who made no mistake in denting the twine. The second power play chance was all Flames pressure. Great puck movement, solid passing, and a couple brilliant shots. Too bad they couldn't get it past the tender in that attempt.

Well, welcome to the Flames Olli!! What a fantastic start to his tenure in the Flaming C. 2 goals and countless fantastic plays. Yes indeedy I am happy to see that number one center. And Jordan!! Noice work to get a goal for yourself as well on the first night back! I seriously started laughing when they had both taken no time at all getting productive and instantly justifying (not that any justification is needed) their respective presences.
