Huge period and 4 goal lead. Philly's D sucked a lot this period. i just loved that circling and passing in their zone.

amazing period. everybody from the first to the fourth played great, and the kids were no exception. havent seen chucko in a while but looks like the guy made massive strides in developing his speed and finally getting that extra step on guys.

olli started out a little shaky but after a couple shifts gelled perfectly with iggy and cammy. to all the haters; shake your heads. he looks to be back in all star form and it couldnt come at worse time for yall.

keep it up boys. this is some of the best hockey played since san jose.. and its being done without the second unit.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here: so far it has been one period (albeit a very impressing one) against an opponent who didn't show up.

Hell, he's a back-up behind Biron.

Jokinen's play is an aberration, a product of being the newly-acquired stud.

Hi Flames fans... My first visit to the Flames board, I believe. I know it's only one game, but you guys must be feeling pretty darn good with your Trade Deadline results. Congrats!

Oh, and say Hello to my brother who lives there in Calgary.

As one of the Jokinen fans from Florida, it's good to see him scoring for you guys. I knew he'd be a good fit.

It's remarkable how the top line creates scoring chances every single time they step on the ice. Very positive so far.

The second period certainly was less offensive in nature, but no less the Flames domination. The Flyers not only changed goalies (Biron in) but managed to create a few more offensive chances, and make a little more confusion in the Flames zone, but it was all for naught as Miikka was as big as he ever is and turned all the shots aside. Again his rebound control has been unearthly tonight. The Calgary squad did create a good amount of offensive chances, but were more reserved about starting up chances. Not that I am complaining, as they didn't leave the Flyers much room to work with either.

The penalty kill was busy and bloody brilliant. Every PK shift managed to not only defend against the man advantage, but to also make the speedy plays to get short handed opportunities. They keep this up and the Flyers will no longer have zero short handed against. Seriously everyone was making it happen during the three Flames infractions. Glencross, Moss, Conroy, Nystrom, Boyd, the list just goes on and on. And when they weren't getting shots on net, they were hitting everything. The broadcast team missed the bombastic hit in front of the Flyers net just as the Flames play died and the Flyers took over but it looked like Nystrom wasted someone possibly Briere in front. Power play? We don't need no stinking power play.

No one player sucked so far. No one. Every last Flame is really working hard and going the extra mile effort wise. Of course Miikka has been superb, and deserves all credit we can throw his way. Sarich, Phanuef, and Leopold are looking fantastic out there tonight as well. And I cannot say enough about the sheer force of nature that is our first line. Iggy, Olli, Cammy. I mean seriously, this is a power house line and they have seven points combined at the end of fourty minutes. I could not be happier!!

Nice save!

Although, the play on that line was better.
