The Cole Train is coming Car V. TB

I figured I would continue the mojo of Cole, a late midnight GDT. I went there.

TB's lineup
some forwards

D pairings:

Melichar-Melichar
Melichar-Melichar
Melichar-Melichar

Last night was quite the performance but, in my opinion, it will be meaningless unless they can follow it up with another solid performance tonight. Hopefully, we'll see a few more points contributed by the Ruutu / Staal / Cole line.

All I could think about starting at about midway through the second period is how much energy and emotion they used up last night, and how much physical punishment they took by actually throwing their weight around. I hope they all got a good night's sleep....

Otherwise...

Radar has picked up Failboat signal.

This is a bellweather game. We've seen high energy impressive wins before, almost invariably followed by a poor effort loss. We cannot do that any more with 17 to play.

Tonight is an indicator of whether we have the stuff to contend.

OT - By the way, not to drop names or get inundated or anything, but one of the (original and still playng) members of Journey is a close friend of a friend, and we've been fortunate enough to hang out and visit when they come to the area. If there is a regular on here that is a diehard Journey fan, let me know...as long as there aren't lots of requests, I could probably hook you up with some small Journey memento. May take a month or two, but he's really good about that stuff once he gets back home to the bay area. Great bunch of guys, by the way - including the new singer.

One thing brought up in the other thread...when Jokinen comes back is he relegated to the 4th line? He seems kind of out of place on that line.

I agree, Jussi is much better on the third line. But guess that is part of the ripple effect Cole brought, and the play of the third line rolled last night. I wouldn't think it would last.

Since the captain seems to have stepped his game up, I'd say Jussi is probably stuck on the 4th for now. But, I wouldn't expect everyone on this team to be healthy for much longer. Still can't believe there wasn't anyone on the shelf last night! That's two games this season I do believe.

That cat. It's a photoshop, right? Because if not, I...have no idea what to make of that picture.

This game has loss written all over it. A chance to sweep a series, a bottom-feeding team following a great win over a tough opponent.

Expect the Failboat to arrive with reinforcements.

really feels like the atlanta game right? hopefully they learned plenty from that game and the energy burst from the cole acquisition will stay with us at least for a few more games

Major news outlets around the globe are passing around fresh evidence...

Could it be that mysterious failboat is found?

Tampa isn't going to roll over and die and allow us to sweep them in the series. Its gonna be tough, so these guys better not skate in there thinking they have the 2 points before the game even starts.

I wanna see that physical game they had last night. I don't care if your opponent is in last or first, we have to play the way we did last night for the next 16 games.

We better freakin beat these guys or last night's win means jack.

I'd say it's 90% that Ward's starting. The coaching staff has no faith in Leighton.

The Marty, Vinny and Vinny show will ruin our playoff chances.

Remeber boys, those standings dont tell you how good LeCavalier and St.Louis are.

Not only would a win be great from a hockey standpoint, but it would be nice to shove it in the face of one of the most annoying fanbases in the entire league.
