Last night was quite the performance but, in my opinion, it will be meaningless unless they can follow it up with another solid performance tonight. Hopefully, we'll see a few more points contributed by the Ruutu / Staal / Cole line.
All I could think about starting at about midway through the second period is how much energy and emotion they used up last night, and how much physical punishment they took by actually throwing their weight around. I hope they all got a good night's sleep....
It is now 6:20am, I hear that beeping... hopefully the mojo continues on.
Hold on to that feelin'. Streetlight PEOPLE!
0622 Coastguard: No failboat in sight..........yet....
OT - By the way, not to drop names or get inundated or anything, but one of the (original and still playng) members of Journey is a close friend of a friend, and we've been fortunate enough to hang out and visit when they come to the area. If there is a regular on here that is a diehard Journey fan, let me know...as long as there aren't lots of requests, I could probably hook you up with some small Journey memento. May take a month or two, but he's really good about that stuff once he gets back home to the bay area. Great bunch of guys, by the way - including the new singer.
Since the captain seems to have stepped his game up, I'd say Jussi is probably stuck on the 4th for now. But, I wouldn't expect everyone on this team to be healthy for much longer. Still can't believe there wasn't anyone on the shelf last night! That's two games this season I do believe.
Tampa isn't going to roll over and die and allow us to sweep them in the series. Its gonna be tough, so these guys better not skate in there thinking they have the 2 points before the game even starts.
I wanna see that physical game they had last night. I don't care if your opponent is in last or first, we have to play the way we did last night for the next 16 games.
We better freakin beat these guys or last night's win means jack.
