The only players I think that deserve anything positive from today's game are Ott and Eriksson, and about 2/3 of Ribeiro.

The rest of the forwards continue to be invisible at home, Turco was awful and the defense didn't do anything really bad, but it also didn't do anything overly positive.

Special teams can bite me, too. This was a game that should have been won long before Turco started his adventures.

Marty Turco should be charged with domestic abuse for all the angry husbands he creates.

Every time a player finally gained a little room for another they just stop playing. You`ll never ever score a single goal like that on the PP. It`s like they are thinking too much instead of playing. Nobody wants to make a mistake. But they forget to play hockey.

I remember previous Stars teams doing this awful at home/win on the road thing, thought not to this extent. It seemed like there was a closed door players meeting in which Barnes and Morrow vented a bit and everything sort of coalesced.

I get that the Stars aren't going to fire Tippet, but could we atleast fire the coach in charge of the PP (wilson I believe)? I mean seriously, when it gets to the point where you are losing games (and whatever chance you have left to make the playoffs) because you can't score on 5 on 3's it's time for action.

9-6-1 to make the playoffs.

I agree completely.

Nice to see Tippett call out Modano though. Now Modano will probably whine about it and retire before the season ends. *fingers crossed*

while Turco played horrible (I will not defend him at all), we have to cash in on the PP, no excuse to go 1/10 and not score on a 3.5 minute of 5 on 3

Was Brunnstrom injured?

I mean, 6:06 of ice time tonight is low even for Tippett.

Don't know when Bruno got injured but he didn't play much in the 2nd period and wasn't even on the bench during the third.

The power play was pathetic. Lamb or whomever should be fired. That's just sad.

The team struggled to connect two passes in a row. Neal fumbled the puck a couple of times. Modano was just flat out awful. Morrison was invisible. And had Otter not brought some life to this game it would have been a replay of the Pittsburgh game.

Turco was just flat out bad. When he wasn't flopping, he put himself in bad positions so the Canadians could score into the empty net. He needs to be on the bench Tuesday.

God this season cannot end soon enough if that's the effort I'm going to see.

2-1 Wild over Anaheim, 2nd INT.

Dallas is already in 9th, switching places with the Preds due to fewer total wins. If the Wild manage to hold off the Ducks, it'll stay that way.

Turco is on his way to a 77 game season.

I don't see how any team believes they can compete in the playoffs after exhausting their goaltender like this. I thought someone would have learned a lesson after how tired Brodeur looked last post-season against New York.

You gotta give your goalies a break.

At this point I say forget about the playoffs and concentrate on getting healthy in the off season and get a back up goalie that they aren't afraid to play. I'm afraid the injured are going to rush their rehab to get back and end up taking longer this summer to recover.

and its been a sore spot all year. As crappy as this team has been overall, if it could have cashed in on some powerplays the record would be much much better. I still dont get all the praise Tippett gets as a coach. I get that hes dealt with injuries, but seriously. You dont even know what team is going to come out on a period by period basis. Hell whens the last time you could even call this team a 60 minute team? Its been years.

I don't think our coach realizes he has other options.
