I remember that all too painfully. I thought we had a walk in the park when Hasek went down. Rollie The Goalie.

Wow i cant believe Edmonton is even in a playoff race. There really bad. Our AHL team dominated them. However my boy Gerber was great for the tank.

We hear these comments after every game.

"Wow that other team sucks (even though they're in the playoffs), they couldn't even outplay our leafs!"

Maybe one of these days we'll realize that maybe this means that the leafs, you know, don't suck?

That maybe that gap between the leafs and the good teams isn't, you know, big?

I agree.... I thought Gerber played well, definitely not terrible. One goal was tipped by Kubina, the other two were breakaways... one of them by Ales Hemsky, who is one of the most offensively talented players in the league.

Edmonton didn't get many shots, but they had more than a handful quality opportunities.

So who will be getting the call up?

Sifers, Stralman or Oreskovic? Maybe 2 of them?

It has to be 2.

probably Stralman and Sifers.

I'm guessing Reitz and Heward aren't available.

And if the same effort was shown all season we would be in the playoffs.

Toronto defenceman Jamie Heward, acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning at the trade deadline, hopes to skate with his new teammates for the first time on Sunday. He has battled post-concussion syndrome since being nailed by Washington Capitals superstar Alexander Ovechkin on Jan.. 1. He has gone for a couple of light skates in the past week or so, but mostly his intense exercise has been limited to a stationary bike.
