You clearly didn't watch the games. Nobody in their right minds would say Price played as good as Halak.
Sure, maybe Halak would have lost to ATL, but there's no possible way you can say this as a fact. It's your speculation.
One thing we do know, Halak pretty much won his last 4games by himself. Price wasn't able to steal any games.
Halak is 4-0 in his last 4 with 1 shutout.
Price is 0-2 and he has a 4.68GAA .835Sv% in last 4GP.
We need this win, especially since Pittsburgh won, we're sitting in 8th. This isn't the time to gamble.
Halak was on fire, he stole 4games for us, you go with him. If he plays bad, you go back with Price.
Price wasn't phenomenal vs ATL, he was good. Halak was outstanding in his last games.
Decision is quite easy.
Halak may have stolen the San Jose game, and you can argue he stole the Vancouver game, but he did not steal anything against Ottawa just like he did not steal anything against Philadelphia. I would have started Halak this game assuming he is healthy because Price has struggled outside of his last start, however you guys are going way overboard when you are praising Halak. In 2 of the 4 wins he was spotted leads of 3-0 and 4-0. Halak has been excellent, but make no mistake he was not th eonly one out there for the team. Price has been consistently hung out to dry much like Halak, however unlike Halak he hasn't benefitted from getting 4 goals of support every game.
