We've got a great lineup for you this week, featuring Dave Pagnotta (The Fourth Period), Lyle Richardson (www.spectorshockey.net), Patrick King (Sportsnet.ca), NHL player agent Jay Fee, former NHLer Jim Cummins, and Conor McKenna (Team 990).
My only blunder, and it's a major one was saying "agreed in principle" which is how my two sources termed it. If you listen to Chiarelli's presser on deadline day, he without saying names alludes to "big deals" he had in place and I've been told since then by sources from both Anaheim and Boston, that I was on target, but shouldn't have "jumped the gun".
Lesson learned and one of many mistakes I've made and will make. But I stand by my report that that certain deal was on the table and ready to go. It fell a part, was almost brought back to life on deadline day, but because Bruins couldn't pave the way salary wise with another deal, it fell through.
