I voted Crosby because he is good all the time. He just works his a** off every single game. He's a great passer, he can see the play two or three steps ahead and makes his line mates much better.

He's a team player, the guy you can rely on. He's there in the playoffs too wich was not the case for Malkin in the finals against Detroit.

Ovechkin is a pure goal scorer but I'd take Crosby over him anytime.

Ovechkin is "better" because of the intangibles he brings to his team, and the fans.

Crosby is boring.

I'll always remember Malkin in last year's playoff whining about being tired...Crosby doesn't look like he'll ever crack 40 goals.

Ovechkin does it all...scores, passes and hits, and looks as happy scoring his 15th goal as he does scoring his 60th.

Ovechkin hands down.

if Crosby wasn't the NHL's choice for every marketing campaign since before he was even drafted, nobody would put him in Ovechkin's league

i mean, Ovechkin has already accomplished a feat (200 goals in 300 games) that only Bossy, Lemieux, and Gretzky have. Crosby's one hell of a player, but speaking of hell, Ovechkin is the devil

1a.Ovechkin
1b.Malkin
.
.
.
2.Crosby

Crosby doesnt even look like he has 40 goal potential at this point, he hit 39 rookie year and its gone no where but down ever since?

He may be a 90-110pt center, but only 20 of them are goals, how can you compare him to guys that score the same amount of points with 40-50 even 60 goals? Plus he has the same boring Gretzky-gentlemen personality. Ovechkin has charisma!

Ovechkin is the more physically gifted of the three. I mean, have you ever seen a 230lbs dude, combine that much strenght, toughness and explosiveness?

In terms of hockey sense and game vision though, Malkin and Crosby are both lightyears ahead of Ovechkin.

What ovechkin lacks in the skills mentionned above, he makes up with his physical abilities.

This year Malkin is the best.

To me, Ovechkin is the perfect hockey machine, the only player in this league I would trade half of our team for.. Scoring as many goals as he does these days is as impressive as any Gretzky or Lemieux records.. He can score from anywhere, any ways and anytime.. There is no real defense against a such hockey machine..

I never saw Maurice Rocket Richard play but everything that have been said on him makes me think of OV.. too bad he isnt a Habs..

Ovechkin.
Crazy fun performances. Cool dude.
Carries his team. Don't get me wrong, Caps have a good team. But without Ov's contribution, I doubt it would look the way it is now. the team name should be the the Ovechkin Capitals.
The other two are great. But Ov has helped more for his team then the other two have for the pens imo.

Ovechkin is the better player of the three, but I'd build a team around Crosby.

Well if it wasn't for Ovechkin's lack of production at the beginning of this season, he'd be right up there with Malkin points wise. Plus he still dominates the league in goals scored.

Ovechkin's the best, imo.

Malkin can do all the things Ovy does, except a little less intense. Plus he's a better playmaker and is one of the best in terms of stickhandling. He has great size that he uses to his advantage very well. Although he has a few turnovers himself, he has about 20more takeaways than turnovers which means he's great at applying pressure and has great vision.

It pretty much comes down to a simple matter of preference, because they are pretty much on the same level and the top 3Players in the league.
Ovy is the most entertaining and fun to watch. He's probably going to be one of the rare players to be able to crack 60Goals in the NHL for a while, but Malkin I feel is the most complete player.

Ovechkin is certainly good but he's a puckhog and he's reckless. For the insane amount of shots on goal he has, he doesn't have that many more goals than some other wingers which he has almost twice their amount of shots (ex: Kovalchuk). What I'm trying to say is that I'd prefer a more effective durable winger (i like Heatlhey or Iginla, just examples) than a reckless franchi$$$e winger who can be pretty much shut down if he gets tight coverage. He is awesome to watch though.

Malkin is underrated because he has not been sold as much as Crosby. Him being from Russia and let's be honest, that face of his is not very marketable. He seems to be the most well-rounded of all three, but I'd probably take Crosby over him. Crosby looks more comitted (in playoffs) and is ridiculously professional for his age. He's the captain and gets the bulk of the pressure from his team and even the league whereas Malkin has yet to be considered the face of a franchise yet.

Wow...tough crowd. Forgive me....let me change that to 40 goals, and my point, which still stands is that Crosby does not look like he will become an elite goal scorer.

Malkin.

Ovy is the dominant sniper no doubt, and Crosby is the dominant playmaker in my opinion. But Malkin is a close second in both categories and they combine making him the best of the three.
