Which one do you think is better?..

Simple and clear.

Ovechkin has scored some of the most insane goals I've ever seen.

That's what I was debating with a friend. I'm also fed up of hearing how they're trying to find wingers to Crosby.
Malkin has played with 3rd liners for all his career.

As for Ovy, he is a beast, but I don't think his vision and playmaking skills compare to Malkin's. He also has a great entourage of stars surrounding him.

Doesn't make him better.

Who's the most complete I guess is what I should have written.

I think the best hockey player between those three is Malkin, but I love Ovy. Crosby is not my favorite, but he's not bad for a 21 year old lol.

How come Kovalev isn't included in this poll? In my mind, he has the slight edge over Ovechkin.

Crosby is the best passer.
Ovechkin is the best pure scorer.
Malkin is the most well rounded of the three imo.

In the end if I had to pick one I would go with Malkin.

Ovechkin will retire as the best goal scorer in the 21st Century.
Malkin will retire having an incredibly strong career as Top 5 for most of his career.
Crosby will have a similar career as Malkin but with a lot more pressure.

That is pretty much as to how I look at it. The problem with Crosby/Malkin is that they are both centermen who really are not that good at the faceoff circle but they really can't play another position. They are also on a team that really doesn't provide them with that much winger support, or as much as they'd need. Finally, with Jordan Staal playing third line, it would be best if one of them (likely Malkin) found a new team and Pittsburgh got back the type of young, future superstar wingers they would need to support Crosby/Malkin and Staal in the Top 6.

Ovechkin is a winger and because of that, he can do a lot of it himself and doesn't face the same sort of pressure. Different positions create different roles, which is why a debate between them is unfair.

I still believe that Sidney Crosby has the best upside out of the three, he just needs the right people around him. I think Pittsburgh completely dropped the ball in giving him the right support.

Ovechkin. And Crosby shouldn't even be included with the other two. My opinion of course.

I agree, except I find Malkin has had less winger support than Crosby.

Malkin and Crosby are good, but Ovechkin at his best outclasses both.

Talent wise and excitment wise, he's way beyond everybody.

Is he ever something.
