I just looked at the schedule of teams placed 7-13 and we have a pretty good schedule finishing up... we are goign to require another good road run though and we have a 5 game road trip coming up starting in Boston and finishing in Dallas with games in Pitt, Chi, St. L. If we get 4 wins on this road trip this will be critical in staying in the race.
We need good efficient special teams play and good hard forechecking on even strength paired with defensive consistency going the rest of the way to remain in contention.
Like some of the players have said, these are all Game 7's for the Kings. As long as they stay within a couple games of a playoff spot, every victory will feel like winning a playoff series, and every loss will feel like the season is over.
The game tonight, as long as the Kings win, that's the thing. The Canucks are far enough ahead of the Kings that it doesn't matter even if the game goes into overtime, the Kings need to get 2 points. The Kings don't play again until Friday, and it sounds much better to be 3 points out of a playoff spot and not playing until Friday, than 5 points out of a playoff spot and not playing until Friday.
also... whats with some of these other teams avatars? a few guys from couver have rainbow patterns behind their players faces.. does that make anyone else wonder what goes on north of our border?
HAHAHAHA ..that reminds me of those pink hearts..can't remember which team but it had to do something with Valentines Day.......and someone on this board tried to ask politely without violating HF board rules..that was funny.
"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.

yea those ones concerned me as well. those ones are from the Sharks board i believe.
Well we've been talking about must wins all season and I think we've finally reached a point where the Kings can only afford to lose 1 out of every 4 games. Considering who their next few games are against, these next two are pretty much must win if they want to have a chance. That is a tall order!
