Who will coach the habs next year?

What do you guys think? Will Gainey coach next year or just finish this year? I'm praying for Bob Hartley

Don Lever or Doug Jarvis.

My guess is both have been asked to take french lessons during summer...

I'd like to see Don Lever get a shot at it. He took the bulldogs to to finals and won, he knows the young players of this team and I think it could work out like it did with Bruce Boudreau of Washington. He deserves a shot with the success he's had with Hamilton.

As long as it is not a coach with no coaching experience...Lets get someone who actually knows what they are doing...

RIS guys pretty much going nuts about the coach needs to be bilingual. One guy suggested, what's wrong with just an anglo guy?

And the 2 others looked like they wanted to kill him.

Laviolette's Hurricane teams have always been pretty poor defensively, even in the year they won the Cup. Entertaining, but probably not the best pick from a systems standpoint.

Patrick Roy is so nonviable as to be laughable. The man can't coach a junior team without making a mess. Completely the wrong guy.

Ted Nolan maybe? Just throwing it out there. The guy got the freaking Islanders in the playoffs, he can't be all bad.

Don Lever is a definite possibility. Promoting AHL coaches seems to be the fashion these days.

isn't it Laviolette that doesn't want his players to fight?

Not really my pick. But I'll take him over Paddy Roy. Patrick Roy would be a disaster.

Anyone who wants Hartley did not follow his tenure in Atlanta.

not mine too

Hartley with Larry Robinson as D-man coach.
add Roy as a part time consultant for the goalies and I'm a happy camper

maybe François Allaire would like to come back. I can only imagine what Price would become with a guy like Allaire coaching him
