Gainey's Line Combo's

I'm not sure if he touches the lines for tommorow night, but i do see him adjusting them along with the change in gameplan.

What's your guys' take on this?

I bet we see Kosto and D'Ago swap (#3/#4 RW). Other than that, I don't anticipate much up front.

Don't touch the top 2 lines or else a "Re-hire Carbo" thread would definitely be appropriate.

I think Gainey just wants us to be a lot more aggressive defensively. We show way to much respect to opposing team's D. Everybody who plays against us looks like Raymond freaking Bourque for goddsakes. It's time to stop giving them so much time and space.

I think he will maybe call up Sergei and ask Lever to take care of him

I would like that but right now there's no room for Sergei, + Latendresse is probably coming back in a week and a half

edit: He better not touch Koivu's line!

It would almost be worth losing the game just to see WTK's reaction.

Them placing AK46 on right wing would be pure awesome! I'd be very surprised if Gainey/Lever make an habit of placing their wingers on their off-wings again (or defense at forward... I swear if I ever see Gorges as a forward on this team I stop watching hockey).

I hope he doesn't change the lines from last game. The lines looked good, especially the Tanguay-Koivu-Kostitsyn line. I hope he leaves the current lines intact for 2-3 games, give them some time to gel and form chemistry. Please do not repeat Carbonneau's mistakes.

Aside from maybe that and until Lats is back, for the love of they better not change anything. Especially Koivu's line. My brain will fry.

first thing he did when he took over from julien was to make a line of kovy ( LW ) - saku - Ryder ( RW )

Nothing surprises me, but I thinnk he will keep them

Please!

Bob Gainey is nobody's second fiddle. Lever will be given input and will get to know players, but Gainey will be the boss...otherwise its a waste of time to coach the team, it would bring more disorder.

You know, the ol' order, counter-order, disorder thing.

I don't think we will see a big change on the line for the first game. They are fine just like that, except for D'Agostini on the fourth line. He deserve to be with Lappy and Higgins.

But we can finally say goodbye to Kosto playing 18 minutes per games...

I hope he'll keep the AK - SK - AT line intact and play them way more then carbo did.

Ice time of the 3 players against Dallas :

A.Kostytsin 12:28
S.Koivu 13:50
A.Tanguay 14:18

They need to play between 17 and 20 minutes
