i say throw him on the bulldog's team as asst, and take their time developing him. I hope that he'd be the next habs coach in the future after some years of learning and experience.
Muller is a motivator and a gateway to the players.
He brings a positive environment and is up beat, he loves this team loves this city and he was not only Carbonneau's pick he was Gaineys as well.
Both of them came to Kingston to meet with him and ensure he would come back to the organization that broke his heart when they traded him to the Islanders.

Exactly. I think this is why it's a good idea to have him as assistant coach (MTL or Ham). Head coaches don't always have the luxury of getting too personnal with the player and an assistant coach can not only be a gateway to the players, but also for the head coach. It's all about communication, which is something Carbo, as we all know, had a problem with.
I really like Muller and I would really like to see him stay with the Habs for a long time, but not as head coach. Too much of a nice guy.
According to Francois Gagnon's blog, Muller was not involved in the morning skate and Gagnon suggests that Muller might not even be behind the bench tonight.
Looks like he's the odd man out as he was Carbo's guy & won't be behind the bench tonight. They'll find a role for him, no need to gas him since they will have to pay him anyway, he's still useful.

I would say they'll keep Muller around till the off season so the boys have a coach buddy.
Yes the structure these days is the coach and somebody else think about team structure(say Jarvis) and the coach's direct assisstant(Muller) handles the video and is there mainly to be there for the coach so he it's mainly the support of a friend. That's almost what Joel Quenneville admited when mentioning what Mark Bergevin was there for when talking about the responsabilities of the various assisstants coachs for the Chicago Black Hawks.
i think if lever wants to keep him, he'll remain, if not he may go to hamilton... i think habs should groom him to be a potential head coaching candidate here someday
