Jacques Lemaire or Bob Hartley. If Gainey is still our GM during next summer, i`ll bet next coach is Lever.

If we had to choose today who would coach next year, I can't understand why anyone would not vote for Gainey..

If I had to choose one other than Gainey I choose Lever simply cause he is already a leader of many on the team and has Gainey's confidence.

Right, that makes sense.

But imagine Bowman returning for the habs.. that would be epic.

The only reason why I wouldn't want Gainey to remain coach is because eventually the players stop listening no matter who the coach is. Then we'd lose Gainey, which would really be a shame. I'd rather he continues building an awesome team.

I love Hartley because he brings intensity but I would love to have somebody with a stronger on-ice structure. I would let Bob and Lever the chance to establish something.

Not sure I understand the love for Hartley people have....

I'd >LOVE< to have Gainey as our coach. To my mind he's about the best coach there is. I mean top 10 ever, but it's not likely to happen. He's almost certainly going to hire someone.

That said, I'd love to see him hire Jacques Demers... which won't happen.

The answer is simple, Don Lever.

The guy has won with our kids and he will know a lot of the kids that make the team next year and is a players coach. He has been in this league for almost 40 years as player and coach so the experience is there.

The answer is can he coach, not is he French!

Media needs to look at that, anyone remember Mario Tremblay?

Lol @ Kirk Muller = 0.

I selected Ted Nolan, because french is not an issue for me, and I believe he is the best coach available.

Ted Nolan OR Hartley.

Hartley could live with our current lineup, while I'm not so sure for Nolan. But the best available is Nolan.

Anything but a guy with no NHL experience in coaching, and yes, that includes Don Lever. However, I'd be fine with Lever on the bench taking Doug Jarvis place.

What's wrong with Crawford? He did a great job in Vancouver, and he implemented a speedy attacking style there. Sounds like a good fit to me. Plus: he learned french when he was coaching the Nordiques.
