I think TG is right to put Brian Willsie on a line with Wolski and Smyth. I think Willsie will develop into one hell of a scorer...he's shown so much already...he just keeps needing to have the chance to prove that he can do it and that he's not a useless tard that always shoots the puck 10 feet over the net.
Granatool, your mongoloidness clearly has no limits.
What's so hard about selecting 6 players from :
That is all.
Don't be adding moron pluggers like Tucker or Willsie or other garbage that just can't do the job. You're just ****ing up the line for the other 2 guys on that line!!!!! I can't understand how someone who's ACTUALLY PLAYED the game at the NHL level can't wrap his head around this concept.
Oh, come on. There was perfect demonstration of BW's offensive prowess. Get a horrible turnover by Minny, all alone down low, wait, deke, and shoot it right into the midsection of Backstrom. At least he could have passed it back to Wolski, who was skating in behind him, for a decent chance at a goal.
Did y'all catch Lappy's interview? Man, he was gushing about Cody going up against Scott. I've gotta admit though, it takes a lot of balls and little brains to want to fight that guy. He's friggin' huge!
Also....I was impressed with Liles. He showed a bit of a nasty side with that cross-check to the head and was generally a lot more physical than I remember seeing him play. I've been down on him sometimes, so it's only fair to give him big kudos for his game last night.
So they didn't give the dry erase boards away until after the game. I found that interesting because they always give out the giveaway items to the first X amount of people through the door. The first 5,000 out the door last night got a dry erase board. It was a smaller version of what the coaches use to diagram plays and it did come with a marker. They were pretty small, but no doubt could have been used to write some two word phrases. I am convinced they got wind that this could blow up in their faces and made an audible to give them out after the game. They always give this stuff away beforehand.
As for the game I thought the team played well. It was a pretty fun and exciting game to be at. That's refreshing since it has been difficult to get excited about going to games these days.
This team is Jekyl and Hyde though. They might absolutely dominate a good Chicago team on the road or they might get blown out on the road by the last place team in the league. They might outwork, out shoot, and out play a team like Minnesota like they did last night or they might get shutout 3-0 by the Thrashers on home ice. You never know what you're going to get one game to the next.
