I would really like to see (well, hear, since I'm listening to Chuck) something tracking Ruutu's penalties in recent games. He's got to have a pretty decent streak going.

Brindy from Staal and Ward. Nice.
We have 7 now? after being the last team in the league to score a shortie?

Canes became quite a dangerous team when it comes to scoring shorthanded goals.

No assist for ward apparently. But only the 2nd shorty dallas has allowed.

Yeah I was surprised to hear that also. We didn't have any around the All Star break, now we have 7!

I dont know why, but Cullen-Larose and now Staal and Brind`amour have been great in all ways on the kill. You could argue that will be the difference in making the playoffs or not.

They have to do something about the wide open back door pass that is given up every powerplay atleast once. Thats a tap in goal 8 of 10 times.

Gleason has been vicious with his protection of Ward lately.

Agree.... I like Gleason's energy shoving Dallas players out of the crease.

If it keeps Cam playing this well, then he should by all means be as vicious as possible.

How many games in a row has that been that they've scored first?

At least 5. I don't know what to make of that period. Our best line has been the Whitney-Cullen-LaRose line, though that's not to say the others haven't appeared in small cases.
Really disappointed that the Staal line hasn't appeared as dominant as it was when it was first put together. Guess it might have something to do with playing teams with actual defensemen, but still...

Cole slowed down quite a bit last two games and Ruutu was taking penalties and yes the first line didn't look dominant.
Still, they should have opened more breathing room for the second line, and third line is quite potent now with Samsonov and reincarnated Brind'Amour.
In overal Canes looked gassed and slow again tonight

Damn. Bad luck, but they need to tighten up out there.
