Smid out disapointing he has been more than descent lately starting to show top 4 potentail. Strudwick good fighter below average hockey player does not make a lot of sense, I like him as a 7th D but not taking away games from Smid.

I hope Roloson gets the night off, only one good game in the last 4 he needs time off. He's also not known for playing well against Colorado.

Go Avs. Smytty with a 3 pt game.

Sorry, but I love what this franchise once was, and at this point massive suckage is the only way we'll ever get it back. Wins at this point = more of the same mediocrity.

Fire away apologists...

I'm hoping for a big win tonight, Sully is gonna play huge so he can look good on afterhours. 4-1 Oil. Sully with 2 and an assist, Sam with 1 and 3 assists.

This is why I'm close to quitting the internet. All this kind of talk does is put me in a bad mood, but I hate ignoring people, so I always read it.

Lets Go Oilers!

So we win. Even maybe squeak into the playoffs (again). How does that help us improve?

Dude, put down the beer for a sec and be honest with yourself.

So your telling me, getting into the playoffs with some of this youth is a bad thing? And I thought I'd heard everything.

Jesus lets just follow the Detriot Lions model why don't we.

maybe you should ask yourself how posting this **** day in and day out helps us improve ;p

If you want honesty, the only people that care what you have to say are the ones that are just as senselessly bitter as you

Our youth potential isn't the problem (as evidenced last year around this time). Our (mis)management model is.

Look at the big picture FFS. If we don't change, Lions/Leafs et all is where we are headed (are) -- on a rocket sled.

So let me get this straight. Getting into the playoffs, highlights how bad our management? How so..?

The details have been sufficiently covered in much detail all over this board. But here's the thing: how can we claim to be among the most knowledgeable fans in the league and yet be satisfied with 8-9th every year for the past 8-9 seasons under the present nepotist/mediocre/unaccountable regime?

How do you possibly, credibly justify that?

Oh, don't get me wrong. I understand the troubles ahead for this team, and how bad they've played at points this season. It's just, sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy the game, you know? And having the negatives hammered in so frequently gets tiresome. So for me, it's probably worth taking a break.

O'Sullivan, Cogliano, and Hemsky will have big games IMO. Peckham will play a tougher game than his last go 'round as well.
