Watching this on RDS is going to be painful. Its obvious they are going to cheer for the Devils. "Quel joueur se Zach Parisé! Sait tu Benoit que sont pêre est québecois?" or "Quel horrible soirée pour André Kostitsyn!" after his second shift (were he couldn't even manage to deke the entire devils team and take a shot ). "QUEL ARRET DE MARTIN BRODEUR!" after he stopped a patented Kostopoulos shot in the chest... ect.
RDS is Quebec centric, they'll cheer for anyone with a francophone sounding name and praise him for entire games (and at the same time fail to provide any information on the team we are facing, let alone about their non-franco players).

With Carbo out, and Lats maybe returning to the lineup with Gainey as coach, could we see Lats begin to breakout... I think he was never used properly and should be on the top two lines. Do you think this will happen or will he go back to playing with Lapierre?

Personally I think he'll play with Lapierre for now. Especially after the success the 2 had before Latendresse was injured.

Please it's gonna be a Brodeur lovefest on CBC too. And Parise is an amazing player he will get a lot of votes for the Hart this year, he's sick.
The Devils team will play hard for Martin Brodeur, it's a big test for the Habs. A win tonight and the confidence skyrockets, a loss and the nightmare continues.
Anyone knows what the chances of Latendresse playing are? I'd have him play on Higgins' sport and move Higgins to the second line. 2 rookies and Plekanec inspires me no confidence.

Parise's father is Franco-Ontarian. He was on the 1972 Canada Team that played in the Super Series against USSR. He went bezerk during one game and almost hit an umpire with his stick !
I just wished that the Habs would had drafted him (or Carter, or Getzlaf, or Richards) instead of A.Kost !

He could certainly do as good if not better than D'Agostini.
That's not saying much, he's been absolutely invisible, and when visible its because he's made a horrible defensive mistake... He should definitely sit out a few games.
John Lu said on the video on tsn.ca that Latendresse will be sitting out a couple more days to rest his injured shoulder.
Its weird, yesterday on RIS Latendresse himself said that he was ready and that he was waiting for the OK from the doctors. I know TSN arent always up to date with the team.

I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere (likely one of the Gainey press conferences) that Lats had been cleared to play by the medical staff, but would be a game time decision.
Latest news for Latendresse is he's got the OK from the doctors to play, but since he wasn't practicing on a regular line this morning he might not play tonight. Kovy is a game-time decision.
