MY BINGHAMTON BEARCATS ARE DANCING, BABY!!!

If Buffalo makes it as well, and my house goes two-for-two.... wow. MADNESS.

I wonder if there has ever been two SUNY teams in the tournament? Hell, has there ever been even one?

There's never been two in at the same time, but SUNY Albany made it in a few years back and almost upset UConn.

UB looking really flat so far. 15-8 Akron with 10 minutes to go in the 1st half.

Great 3-point shooting from the Zips has them in the lead 33-25 over UB at halftime.

Even though the Bulls lost tonight, the fact that they even made the MAC championship is pretty amazing. Combine that with the football team winning the MAC championship earlier this year, and UB's athletic program is suddenly in great shape. Unbelievable job done by Warde Manuel.

I don't really follow college basketball, but is there any chance the Bulls go to the NIT?

yeah definitely... their record was 20+ wins that usually gets you a post season tourney.

Yeah, they're a lock for the NIT. I'm really disappointed though: both the football and basketball teams couldn't deliver in their biggest games of the year. I thought that this year was finally the year that they'd make it and I was really looking forward to watching UB in the tournament this year, oh well.

Meanwhile, the College Basketball Invitational tournament announced late Sunday night that the University at Buffalo is in the field. The Bulls are to play at Wichita State (Kan.) on Wednesday night.
Guess it wasn't really a lock, or was this a huge snub?

Here's the bracket itself:

And here's the wiki for the CBI:

Yeah, I thought it was a giant snub. At the minimum, Buffalo should have made the NIT over Bowling Green and I definitely think that UB is on the same level as the majority of this year's NIT bracket. Niagara should definitely make some noise in the NIT though.
