Too bad the Habs drafted Fischer instead of him !

And Chouinard instead of Gagné...

And A.Kostitsyn instead of Carter OR Richards...

2nd: Gagne gets his own rebound and shuffles it off quickly to Giroux skating behind the net. He fakes EVERYONE out with a nifty little behind the back pass that gives Gagne the shot on the just opened short side because Giroux already faked everyone out. Very Foppa-esque.

God I freaking love this kid. And for all those saying Gagne couldn't handle Giroux's passes early on I think he might be starting to get the hang of it.
Those weren't even his best passes of the night. His best pass was when he put the faceoff through the centerman's legs, stepped around him, and fed it to Gagne wide open in front. Unfortunately Brodeur made a sprawling save on Gagne, but the pass was just ridiculous.

Can someone make Brodeur plopping down on the ice after the goal into a GIF? It was probably the best part of that clip other than the actual pass.

Actually his pass just before that to Gagne in the slot was pretty nice too, good little fake shot and pass to Gagne coming in but he couldn't convert. Straight after he controls it really nicely as it bounces and lays it off behind him for Gagne to score.

Excellent sequence of play from Claude.

My personal rankings have changed throughout the years, but for a while i was putting Giroux as our top prospect after seeing him at rookie camp. I'm so thrilled with him i can't say enough
