I paid about 300 bones for that. I can't really be mad since it's my own damn fault but still I'm super cheesed. What's the most expensive thing you've ever lost..

I guess my dog thought they were.. treats by dre..

Your first mistake was spending $300 on a pair of god damned headphones.

Only thing better than getting overpriced headphones is letting something eat your overpriced headphones.

With headphones, you get what you pay for.

Not most expensive, but while we talking about dogs eating things...

My dog found out how to open the fridge. When we weren't home, she ate two apple pies and a raw pork loin. She has been ******** like a champ. Not even mad.

I'm strongly doubtful that there's any noticeable difference between a decent $20 pair and a $300 pair, or that your ability to enjoy music is dependent upon the amount you spend on headphones. It seems more likely that the sort of people who spend that much on headphones are the same sort of people who buy Monster cables for their stereos, or download FLAC instead of mp3 files.

That's just not true. There is a actually huge difference between standard ipod ear buds and $80 JVC ear buds. If sound quality means nothing to you then so be it. There's no reason to argue that point.

I download FLAC for two reasons:

1: I get to choose my own format. I personally rip all my CD's to above-average quality VBA, LAME encoded MP3s, and downloading FLAC instead of MP3 gives me the ability to encode them just like that rather than having to stick with whatever bitrate they give me. Also, if and when MP3 stops being the dominant format in the future, I can just encode from the FLAC files without any loss of fidelity. Plus with Mp3 quality depends on the encoder and settings used. I've had 96kbit files that sound exactly like the CD, and 320's that sound like ****. Encoding them myself gives me control. And I like having control.

2: Because I CAN.

I'll give you Monster cables but FLAC has its uses.

Aren't we talking about headphones though, not earbuds?

Not a fan of earbuds myself, and the best output device for personal listening I've ever owned has been a $10 studio style headphones by Sony. Plus they're 25ft long! That's value and there's no reason to argue that point.

Then again I'm not some sort of 1337 audiophile either

I liked the part where you paid $100 more to get worse head phones than the V-Moda Crossfade LPs.

You can get great headphones for $50. The beats are probably a little better, but nowhere near $250 better.

No, his first mistake was spending $300 on Beats.

It's hilarious that people ***** at others for spending 300 bucks on headphones, the things that play the music, but it's perfectly fine to spend 300 bones on an mp3 player and then listen to music on crap.

Get yourself some better and cheaper headphones to replace your lost beats good sir.

Never spent more than $50 on an mp3 player or headphones.

Feelsgoodman.

My mp3 player right now is my old HTC EVO smartphone since I upgraded a couple months ago.

Poor dog.

I dunno what's worse OP...the fact that you know the reason this happened is your own fault...or...the fact that you spent $300 on Beats.

Either way. We in Ze Lounge are very very disappoint. Feel shame..
