Ducks vs. Travis Moen 3/15/09

Ripped this from the Sharks GDT:

Quote:
Thornton: 1 assist in last 11 games
Clowe: 1 goal in last 10 games
Blake: 2 points in last 8 games
Cheechoo: 0 goals, 1 assist, in last 10 games
Pavelski: 3 goals in last 12 games
Marleau: 2 goals in last 11 games
Setoguchi: Scoreless in 9 games, pointless in 5
Sonofa*****.
That's at least 4 goals tonight. Plus whatever they can manage legitimately.

On a more positive note, Selanne's 1 point from 1200, and tied with Bossy for 18th in total goals.

I have a feeling the Ducks are going to get ripped apart.

Cheechoo with a hat trick. Heard it here first.

Also pretty glum because Thornton gets to play against NO checking line. YAY.

I'll be at the game, screaming/crying.

Travis Moen scores 3 and makes us realize that we made a mistake.

I think this will be a great game as most Ducks vs Sharks games really are. It's in our house and we really need this win for the confidence to make a run. Beating a top team in the league even if they are struggling is a big deal and great for the confidence of the team. Plus, we should be very rested.

If by some miracle the Ducks make the playoffs they've got a 50/50 chance of playing the Sharks. Trading a valuable checker to your potential playoff opponent is questionable at best.

So we should have not traded Moen to Sharks even if it takes a miracle to make it to play-offs?? Doesn't make much sense.

Moen was going to walk for free in the summer, getting 2 good prospects for him was a trade I'd make every time.

Y'all might win tonight. Your team played very well against those horrible canucks. You should have won that game in regulation.

What about Ducks vs Kent "Stalwart-despite-injured" Huskins? No concern about him?

That's what she said.

I'd agree if the Ducks were true contenders. At this point, Moen doesn't make the Sharks that much better than us than they already were. Like giving spinach to Popeye in a deathmatch with Steve Urkel. Who frickin cares?

The only concern would be on the Sharks side, if he was in their lineup.

I predict 5-1 Sharks. Should have been 5-2 but the refs disallowed a goal because Getzlaf sneezed on the goalie as Perry shot the puck, Getzlaf gets called for goalie interference and the Sharks score on the PP. Selanne has our only goal and Ryan and Marchant are the only Ducks who try all night. Giguere (if he starts) lets in 5 goals on 24 shots.

The Sharks PBP guy minimizes good Duck hits/shots, while getting more excited about minimal Shark chances.

It is annoying, but whatever.

The Sharks coach looks like Patton Oswalt's evil twin.

Good stuff.
