Detroit lost ten straight games last year!!! TEN! If that happened in Montreal...

They won the Stanley Cup. Can we have something positive please?

How many consecutive 100-point seasons have we had recently? Now compare with Detroit and you understand how it's 2 VERY much different situations.

Your right! Let's make some Habs suck avatars for the playoffs and change teams we cheer for as well.

BTW don't feed me that 100 point crap. It has no relevance. Only in the last 2 years has that division been even somewhat competitive.

Wow, I don't get why you get so pissy about it...

If we're going to have a huge meltdown, might as well laugh about it all the way.

I'm at a point where I don't care if the Habs get in the playoffs and get creamed. If we're going to get in by playing the way we are, might as well skip this one out and build something on stronger foundations for the future.

It's not all about here and now in pro sports. I'd love for the Habs to turn it around and make a good run, because that means there is something to look forward to next year (and for the playoffs too), but if it ain't happening, I want some change, not mediocrity for years to come (like we've been doing for the past 8 years).

Sorry. I guess my reaction is a result of all the negativity here and in the media. I find it hard to have fun watching the Habs anymore because of it. The negativity rubs off, you know?

Im just as disapointed with the Habs as most people here but most of these suggestions are too negative. Are we really going to make avatars about being soft or having a meltdown, come on guys.

If this thread were started after a habs win the attitude would be so different in here.

That being said, I have no ideas.

Hey dude, calm down. I'm a habs fan. Look at my avatar and all my post. It's only a joke with the way we are playing right now.

it depends on your view of "meltdown".... hopefully the boys begin to heat up Severly and release some radiation in the first round . GO HABS GO !

http://www.answers.com/meltdown

meltdown

# Severe overheating of a nuclear reactor core, resulting in melting of the core and escape of radiation.

In a meltdown, the radio active material in the reactor becomes very hot, melting some or all of the fuel in the reactor. A melt down may or may not be followed by the release of radioactive material to the environment.

Last year I had the idea to do Habs players as World of Warcraft characters for our avatars, which I think could turn out to be hilarious and ridiculous.

However, this year is the Centennial so I figure we should go with something historical. A historical theme wouldn't have the hilarious potential of other themes we've seen around here, but I think it would be cool to do something with the fabled Forum/Bell Centre ghosts or something of that nature. Or we could do something more personal, like moments or players that made you cheer for the Habs. I think it would be fitting to do something along these lines rather than some self-deprecating and negative theme. I've seen this team go through much, much more terrible seasons than this one and I'm not really in the mood to get all emo with the most important games of the season coming up.

I'm really not a huge fan of the idea of having some random football coach in all our avatars either. There's got to be some better ideas kicking around here.
