Dustin Brown, Jared Stoll, Justin Williams potential great grind line?

For next season, I think that Dustin Brown, Jared Stoll, and Justin Williams would be able to make for a very exciting "Grinding" second line. I think they would be able to work together extremely well, while having Kopitar, Frolov, and (potentially Marion Gaborik if he goes to LA) or even leave Purcell on the first line. Then line 3 would be solid with Hanzus, Simmonds, and Moller.

I think the Brown, Stoll, and Justin Williams Line would add to the team toughness, and also this would be able to express a somewhat Veteran second line.

so Kings Nation, let me know what you think of this potentially great line

Sounds like an excellent line to me. Let's not forget that the Wings had their own great grind line that helped lead them to a few cups. I think this sort of role would be perfect for Dustin Brown since he does not seem to fit well as a first line forward, in a way it seems like he's holding Kopitar back as well.

No offense to grinders, but I would prefer our second line to be a powerful and furious hitting and scoring machine that breaks heads and scores a record number of goals from rebounds and traffic in front of the net.

Grinding can be left for the 4th line.

Exactly... great line combo idea, bad adjective.

Meh, to me great grind lines inherently involve furious hitting, creating turnovers, cycling the puck, and scoring off rebounds from traffic in front of the net

nice call. i like the line and with Murray we're sure to see the line. And then change them for some off the wall reason (most likely lombardi telling him).

If we sign Gaborik, I can almost guarantee Murray will put these three together on a consistent basis. Great second line.

So which one, Brown or Williams would replace Gaborik?

Who exactly is playing hockey on that line ?????
It's really not enough to play tough...
in modern hockey you need at leatst one guy who is creative....
The major reason why our powerplay sucks is, nobode is creative.
We pass the puck to the sides, back to the blueliner and shoot.
The other guys try to create some trafic.
And is our PP looking good ?????
A big no.... because we never do something unexpected. No pass across no pass beside the goalie.

And exactly like that would look the Line with Brown Williams and Stoll.
Nothing against Stoll, i love that guy. But is is not realy a second line Center. He is a 3rd line roleplayer with the duty to score PP goals.

We got Williams as a missing goalscorer, So let's put him where he belongs... beside a playmaker.
Purcell - Kopitar - Williams would be fine... for now, untill i saw Williams playing.
Simmonds - Purcell - Brown would be my choice for the second line.
Stoll - Handzus - Moller the 3rd

Currently the Kings PP is at 20% good enough for 11th in the league. Terrible, I know!

Are you talking about Jared Staal or Jarret Stoll?

hmmm, although "grinding" is thought of as a bad idea, Jared Stoll and Justin Williams would have that Veteran presence on the second line which would give some leg room to Brown to get better, since all he seems to ever do is try muscling his way through defenders instead of trying to do some moves. I think this line would be a good consideration for the team to shuffle around with next season. Hopefully one day they implement it and see where it goes.

You need skill and grit on each line.

I would say for the moment:
Frolov-Kopitar-Williams
Brown-Stoll-Purcell

If we add Gaborik...

Gaborik-Kopitar-Williams
Brown-Stoll-Frolov

I agree with the Fro-Kopi-Williams line. That's a line of big guys that can skate and have hands.
