Ryan wins it on a Jagr-like goal. Sweet.

Crap game, but two points.

I do not understand how Getzlaf can skate up to the net so calmly in such an important situation. However, that was a great goal, soft hands and good patience.

Hiller played a great game, I hope this inspires Giguere to do better.

Beautiful goal by Ryan there and great goaltending by Hiller.

Believe it or not, I'd bet MOST Ducks fans want to keep Nieds over Pronger. No contest to me though, as I would prefer to keep the guy that wants to stay, and plays better, and was the main difference maker in getting the Ducks a cup.

They won, just like assumed...

When Nieds and Whitney mess up (tying goal) Carlyle punishes the Getz line and doesn't play them the rest of the game...

Don't you see what karma is doing? They are getting your hopes up just to be disappointed. This team is playing on the edge of defeat. It is a cruel fate that is upon us. We all traded our soul for a Stanley Cup and now Satan is playing a sick joke on us now.

That was a pretty poor effort but I'm attributing it to the back to back situation. Our top two lines were pretty nonexistent and Whitney had IMO his worst game as a Duck.

The third line was our best line again, Nokelainen and Marchant have been especially awesome lately, despite the fact the second goal shouldn't have counted that line was awesome tonight.

What's with whenever we have a one goal lead in the third we sit back and stop attacking? The best way to defend is to have the puck and attack not sit back and give a half assed attempt at the trap, it hasn't worked all year long, it won't work now. I don't have the stats in front of me but I'm willing to bet we are leading the league in letting in game tying/winning goals in the last ten minutes of the third.

Anyways we're now 3 points out of 8th with a game in hand on Nashville. Stupid SJ gave Nashville another loser point, hopefully we can beat them in regulation next time we play them.

Yay for Carlyle and his genius system.

Ryan and Selanne didn't get a whiff of ice until phoenix tied it up, because matching lines is more important than scoring. pssh. So much for that idea.

Drew Miller is a waste of a roster spot.

He also played well on the PK......

I really don't understand the hate on for Miller, he is rarely out of position, rarely makes mistakes and can play effectively on the PK. People had a hard on for Carter, yet he makes mistakes left and right.

Edit: Maybe it's because he's a pretty boy, I've seen Dirk throw that around a few times.
