Should Halak start for the remainder of the season: Yes or No?

I realize that there is already an excellent thread on this topic, but unfortunately there is no poll attached to it...

At the sports pub where I watched last night's Habs/Sens game there was actually a boisterous STANDING OVATION in the place when Halak took over the nets

The fans in that pub spoke loud and clear...

Halak over Price they said

What about the HFboard community?

Where do they stand statistically-speaking?

Yes.
Shouldn't have taken him out in the first place considering how amazingly he was playing.
I've always been a fan of Halak. I know Price has the ability to be a better goalie and simply is a better goalie when on top of his game, but he isn't. In a way, I'm happy Halak is finally getting his chances.

We really need to ride Halak for the rest of the season. Something hasn't been right with Carey since his injury and it doesn't look like he's coming back any time soon. His play earlier this year showed that he can be a dominant goalie, but right now he's simply shattered. Ride Halak and let Price regroup during the summer.

Doesn't matter. Halak isn't that good, and it appears that Price was over exuberant in his personal life when he was playing well. He has personal issues to resolve before he can focus on hockey again.

Season's over.

If Price is in goal against the Leaves on Saturday nite I will put my foot thru the tv set. We need points now and if Price needs some confidence building sent him to see Dr. Phil. Put Halak in until he can't play anymore.

I feel sorry for Price...but my answer is yes, Halak must start for the remainder of the season. All the game are important right now and we never know which Carey Price we have before the game: the good, the bad or the ugly!

They'll probably play Halak till the last game of the season. Habs can clinch the 8th spot with a win or overtime loss. On that last game, They'll play Price...

Hey look on the bright side, we'll get a 2nd rounder for him the following season

Joking aside, I really hope the kid bounces back, but right now is not the time for that. I've got a sneaking suspicion that Halak will get the majority of starts from here on out.

I'm probably Halak's biggest fan but I voted no. He should be given the next two or three games no matter how he performs, but not necessarily the remainder of our schedule.

Give him a few games to show that he can continue his stellar play, but if he sucks for two or three games in a row we have to go back to Price.

Halak definitely deserves the chance though, and if he plays well he should be our goalie for the rest of the season and get the start in Game 1 of the playoffs.

Simple, give him the no1 job unless he does a Carey Price of himself and loses it...

With 10 games or so untill the end, I'd say yes...

Yes Halak should be the #1 for the rest of the season. He's playing more like a #1 than Price is and both of them are getting the same amount of support in front of them. Go with the better goalie or we won't make the playoffs and then who will be to blame??

Considering Halak won 4 of his last 5 (with a .944%+) before making relief duty last night, I'm not sure why it's taken this long to get him back in

Should have been back since he was healthy again.. No knock on Price but he's not constant and the Habs need wins.. Halak showed 2 seasons ago when Huet was hurt that he could be counted on...

Go Halak!!!

I think Bob has too much faith in Price.. My opinion...

Simply put: He should play until he losses it. He's earned the opportunity, let him play. If he doesn't do the job, go back to price, but for now, halak is playing better and we need him.

You think thats funny, all the love for Price came from what he did before he made the nhl, not what he did in the nhl. And Halak has been strong overall in the 50 or so nhl games he has played, not just 4. I don't know what rock you've been under.

This is bs.

Halak should have been playing all these past games.

He'll play the next four, get a 0.95%, then he'll play one average game and we'll go back to "Jesus" Price.

Halak never had a chance in Montreal. Which is too bad, he could've been a franchise goalie.

Anyways good job Gainey/Carbo, let's alternate goalies and play with their confidence a little over a month before the playoffs.

This, he also was the AHL's number 1 goalie. Price wasn't.

A lot of people here were Halak supporters from the start.

Halak now, Price future.

Really though, Halak and I don't even know how it can be argued given the play on ice.

If Price starts on Saturday.. I'm going to consider cheering for the Leafs.. just so we can get Gainey out.

EDIT: Halak starting per TSN.
