behindthenet.ca

The difference between the team's plus/minus rate
when a player is on the ice and when he's off the ice :

Pacioretty Lapierre S. Kostitsyn
Latendresse Plekanec Tanguay
A. Kostitsyn Koivu Kovalev
Higgins Metropolit Dandenault

Markov Gorges
Schneider Komisarek
Hamrlik Brisebois

no.

koivu and kovalev play like crap together, and I think it's pretty established by now that A.Kost and Kovalev don't mesh. I'd agree to have kovalev and koivu on the same line if only that they can make each other miserable but koivu hasn't been bad as of late.

Lats/Lapierre/Kost scored twice last night.

Schneider / Komi would be slow as hell and Gorges really isn't top 2.

Sorry, just my opinion.

I'm not sold on the "fact" that Koivu and Kovalev shouldn't be on the same line. I think they could eventually form a great line together.

Tanguay-Koivu-Kovalev
Pacioretty-Plekanec-Kostitsyn
Latendresse-Lapierre-Kostopoulos
Higgins-Metropolit-D'Agostini

I think Bob's been telling Kovalev to shoot more. He seems to be wanting to let'r rip without waiting for a perfect play the last couple games.

1. Kovalev and Kostitsyn should NOT be on the same line
2. Higgins has managed a laughable 4+4 in previous 25 games mostly on the same line with Koivu. If there was a chemistry between those two few years ago, that's gone. Let someone else try with Saku already.
3. Don't touch the only line that is working
4. Recall Sergei.

Tanguay - Koivu - A. Kostitsyn
Pacioretty - Plekanec - S. Kostitsyn
Latendresse - Lapierre - Kostopoulos
Higgins - Metropolit - Kovalev

I'd switch Higs and Kosto.

Tanguay - Koivu - Dago
Pacioretty - Plekanec - Kovalev
Latendresse - Lapierre - A. Kostitsyn
Higgins - Metropolit - Kostopoulos

even tho kosto, laps and lats had a great game vs sens id like to see laps and lats with a more talented player than kosto, i think a talented guy like a.kost is would be great with the space lats can give because of hes great hitting and forecheck. just my opinion...
