Are you serious? He was trying to shake out the cobwebs after a headshot. Going by this thread Pens fans are some of the most obnoxious people ever.

People want Malkin, the possible league MVP, to throw down with the Kings heavyweight after the whistle was blown on a dominating 4-1 win? Classic.

We are.

We also don't hold doors and rarely signal whilst turning.

Star players don't fight oafs like Ivanans after the game. Ivanans engaged Malkin as Malkin was leaving the ice -- it's a shame that's really the only fire any King showed all evening. Perhaps if they want to fight for a playoff spot, they should bring the fire to the rink like other teams seem to be doing this time of the year. Bringing it up like that makes Malkin a little b***h reaks of saltiness.

The announcers on that video sure seemed to see it that way.

There is a group (Begin, Avery, Cooke, Tootoo, Hollweg, Pronger, Simon, etc.) that are called dirty for facewashing someone out of a netmouth scramble.

Most of the players in the league are seen on a pretty even keel in situations like this.

Malkin never tried to hurt anyone. He lead with his shoulder, kept his arm tucked, and hit the guy coming at him. If Wayne has his head down, that's unfortunate, but it doesn't make the hit dirty. If Malkin had lifted his elbow, things would be different, but that's not what happened. It stayed tucked the whole time.

I found out that the Pittsburgh Police were waiting for Malkin after the game. They had Simmonds in the back of a police car and asked him to point to the person who hit him. He pointed to someone who looked like Malkin. Then the police promptly took Simmonds to jail for being a *****.

Simmonds needs to be suspended for trying to cheap shot Malkin's elbow with his face.

I have no problem with a player getting destroyed because his head is down. For example the Campbell hit on Umberger was a beauty. The problem i have with Malkins hit is the only thing he could come in contact with was Simmonds head. If he had hit him in the shoulder or had put his shoulder into Simmonds chest then cool. But he tried to take the guys head off. Its not something that warrants a suspension but it was unnecessary.

And I never expected Malkin to fight Ivanans. But I did find it to be a ***** move that he bolted for the lockerroom as soon as possible.

12-1-3 since Bylsma and your superstars taking no prisoners on the ice.

I'd say the Pens and their fans are in a good place heading toward the second season.

So wheres the cheapshot? All I see is a clean hit, won't be suspended. Only thing wrong with the hit is the timing.

Malkin will get suspended because the league wants Crosby to win the Art Ross and Hart trophies.

It's a head shot because Simmonds was skating with his head way down. If Malkin were to get suspended it'd just mean players can skate with their head down, and not worry about getting hit, because any hit against them, would be a head shot.

The Pens announcers mentioned Guerin tapping all the pens with his stick telling them to get to the locker room.

LOL, he wasn't sticking around to talk to anyone, Ivanans or not. I'm sure there were other Kings that would have taken up the cause if Malkin felt he didn't want to go a couple rounds with Ivanans. But, he turned around and skated off like a pansy. I think he was even the first Penguin off the ice. Impressive.

I agree! If Malkin wanted to take him out Simmonds would have been chewing on his own eye balls.
