How about...

2009 Playoffs: The Inaugural Run

It's majestic-sounding, and we need that for the first time.

My 15 second brainstorm:

April?

Postponing Our Tee Times

Throw Away the Razors

What's a Series?

Sentimentally, Mr. Mac's Army

Poppin' the Cherry

Gif suggestions:

Firing Jackets out of a cannon with smoke.

Anticipated beard growth avatars

Onto other matters...

Hawks lead the Sharks 4-2 midway through the second. Alexei Semenov of the Sharks has a goal and an assist tonight — for Chicago!

I say, with inspiration from Dru's avatar now, Danny Gare nicknames. And we always hear about how players turn it up during the playoffs, I'm whole heartedly expecting Gare to turn up his nickname maker for the run and into the playoffs. So my idea is Danny Gare nicknames and future Danny Gare nicknames.

Steddie Freddie
Jake the Snake (why is everyone named Jake automatically the Snake?)
Young Mason
Young Russell

I like this idea also. The other thing I thought of was using things seen on FSN, like...

Json
Manhotra
Blue Jackson

Though there may not be enough to go around.

Well, well, well... Calgary shut out by Pittsburgh! Love it. Very physical game with tempers flaring, especially from Iginla. The Flames looked frustrated and not spectacular.

Ducks won 7-2. Hawks blew a 4-1 lead to the Sharks and won the shootout 2-0 after a 5-5 tie at the end of OT.

Kings fans may have a persecution complex on the level of Jackets fans.

Blues are up on the Nucks, too.

It's like, we win, yet we can't get any breathing room from the teams below us. I mean, yeah, I want to get fifth, maybe fourth, but I'd rather make sure we're in first, then just play whoever.

Agreed, thinking as Hitch, my target would be Vancouver and Chicago. If there are any 'biggest' games left I would say Chicago are those, because we can lower their point total by beating them. Vancouver is out of our control.

We must continue to beat all teams to advance past the Hawks though, which means we must beat SL and Nashville as well.

Bascially, we must win out and see where we are at.

Either way, I just will feel relief when we make it in. I am confident in whomever we play in the playoffs, and I will take my chances — even if we end up losing the series — but I want to make the darn dance first!
