Sometimes I wonder if after opposing coaches have done their scouting and preparation work for game day against the Avs, if the coaches ever turn to each other and are like, "he's playing Arnason on the top line?!?" or "he's playing Willsie on the PP?"

I wonder if they ever share laughs or turn to each other and are like, "WTF is wrong with this guy?"

I guess no one told Hannan we're playing for a shot at Tavares.

They probably want to laugh but then they realize that it's very rude to laugh at people whose brains arent all there. It's not right to laugh at mentally challenged individuals like the ones behind the bench for the Avs.

I never want to see players get hurt, but why is Nycholat in the lineup over Peltier? Peltier showed more in his two games than anything Nycholat's done. Granato has a lot of faults, but I think talent evaluation is in the top three.

2-1 Sharks. We usually do nothing every 3rd period we play so we should be fine for the tank.

If Phoenix could get at least 1 point tonight, that would be awesome.

If we were really trying to tank we'd stick Budaj and his shot confidence back in goal.

Granato has had idiotic line combos all year.

Well I don't care about winning or losing at this point. I just want to see some effort out there, and I must say I saw it. The Avs played better than the Sharks during the third and had quite a few good scoring chances. On the bright side it's just one step closer to Tavares.

But those were some whack line combinations tonight.

Star of the night for the Avs was Hannan for sure. I was also very impressed with Vernace. I thought he played a solid game.

I don't feel that way about my sports teams very often, but yeah, it's pretty much at that point. Reminds me of when the Buffs went 2-10 in 2006. It was kind of nice just to get the season over with and start getting ready for the next one.

It was nice to see them play a game that wasn't a complete embarrassment.

With 9 games left I'd like to see Weiman get a chance.

Highlight of the night for me was seeing Liles stick up for Smyth. For sure!

Otherwise, we saw two tired and battered clubs play uneventful hockey.
