Kidd to start tonight

Mapleleafs.com has said that Kidd will start tonight so that Belfour won't have to play back to back games. They want Belfour to play against Boston. I wonder how much of a problem Belfour's back is. Will he be able to handle the grueling playoff scedule. Teams are going to be taling runs at Belfour because they know that he can be hurt easy and we don't have a good backup. I really don't like our goaly situation.

The post should read that the Leafs are on a three game losing streak.

No choice but to put Kidd in, unfortunately.

Tellqvist is injured and Eddie has to be adequately rested for the playoffs (he was clearly tired against Philly last year).

That is why we should have gotten a back up goaly points are to valuable to throw away. These points could be the difference of a game seven at home in the playoffs.

The way we play against Buffalo I honestly don't think it makes a difference who is net. I am just glad we won't have to deal with Buffalo in the playoffs.

Looking at it another way; the Leafs have really sucked defenseively recently and perhaps Quinn is saying, "guys, this is your fault - NO EDDIE FOR YOU! You figure it out what it takes to win being veterans." Because if they play in the playoffs the way they have been playing recently they won't make a round anyway.

I kind of agree. Screw first place. Just start playing properly.

WHAT ???

Kidd in...Eddie Out
Renberg in...Stajan Out
Belak in...Fitzgerald Out.

I dunno what you're talking about, but that looks like a winning formula to me.

Yah I wondered a little there but I gotta give the old fart a little credit. If there is one thing he knows how to do is manage veterans. My theory on this is that he is making a statement to the team.

"You all suck right now! Now figure it out you bunch of lazy dicks! No Eddie for you!"

"Mat is one of the best players on the team right now at the age of 20. Well F U! I am going to bench him because you don't deserve the right for a 20 year old supposed 4th liner to rescue your butts! Here, take Perrott."

Belfour benched. Marchment played well. Benched. Stajan playing well. Benched. Fitzgerald hat a great game against Pitt. Benched. I think Quinn is trying to send a message to his top lines to get it in gear.

I think he is also trying to get all 23 players into game shape for the playoffs and send the message that the team needs contributions from everyone. I mean, why the hell else would Berehowsky even be allowed on the practice ice?

You never know what can happen in the last 11 games. BTW, with a win tonight we're only 3 points back of the Isles. If you don't want to see us in the playoffs you may want to try and beat us tonight, cause that would be a major blow to our chances.

This sucks why Stajan? WHY?!?! So Domi can get his time in? Damnit Quinn is a moron sometimes. Anyone else notice Domi, Belak, Reichel on the ice with like 2:30 left on the clock in Montreal? And He gives Domi time on the PP but not Stajan, noooooo why put the GOOD players out there? They will only score. Domi IMO should be the one benched, he can't contend with the heavyweights anymore, so whats his job? Why have 2 enforcers playing on the same line? Please people help me out here! Fizty is one of the players that comes out to play EVERY SINGLE night! He never takes a day off and Pat sits him? Doesn't Stajan have more goals or points then Renberg anyways? AND RENBERG WAS ON A TOP LINE FOR MOST OF THE YEAR!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh

I feel the same way accerpt I disagree with Domi. In my opinion the Leafs should leave Stajan, Nolan, and Francis together I thought they were the Leafs best line against Montreal.

Kidd will shutout the Sabres tonight.

You'll see...

On another topic; If the Leafs send Kidd down to the baby Leafs when Tellqvist is healthy will they have to put Kidd on waivers?

I was told they would have to but I'd like some clairification.

6-2 Sabres.

If Kidd's starting a game, I'm not watching. This guy is the worst goalie to have played for us in the last decade, and playing him is like giving away two points.
