It's official. Here's the link (temporarily down, however.)

Good stuff. Hopefully he kicks some butt and plays a game of oneupsmanship with Luongo.

Argh. Going to tomorrow night's Caps game, and I was hoping he'd start then, I'd love to see this kid.

It's probably too much to hope for to get back-to-back starts in consecutive nights...

If Kari kicks butt tonight, don't be at all surprised if Bob Hartley starts him against the Caps on Saturday. He loves to go with the hot hand. Nurminen has started something like fourteen straight games.

I think he meant the information was also on the TSN website. And you're right, the Habs game is currently on TSN (channel).

Lehtonen played really good in the first. The Panthers came out firing and he kept the Thrashers in it.

Lehtonen was great, but Kovalchuk stole that game for the Thrashers. He set-up the tying goal, and got the game-winner. All in the last two-minutes of the game.

Kovalchuk got benched for 10 minutes in the 3rd for turning the puck over then came out like a madd man and was all over the Ice... Lehtonen looked decent but the panthers didnt get too many good scoring chances the 1st goal let us he has no chance the 2nd goal I donno what happened but he screwed up cause it was on a backhand...

The 1st goal was on a 5 on 3, not much he could do there. The second one was a light backhand on a wraparound that just caught the upper far post, looked like a positioning thing more than anything. Ilya let him out to dry on that one, which led to his 10 minute benching.

Lehtonen 1
Luongo 0

Lehtonen looked very sharp though, he made a pretty sick save to start the game out.

You can't really say that tho cause the Panthers aren't much of a competitive team anymore after losing Bure and that other guy Luongo IS the panthers hehe
