VS has a horn sound effect for road goals.

no, versus and other networks add a goal horn to the background when the road team scores. i noticed nbc did it for us yesterday at pittsburgh

we outplayed them, then we got penalties and were so-so, then holik made a jackass move and we picked it up again. i like how this is going - hopefully we keep it up and stay out of the box

I don't mind some penalties so long as a Deb goes with. I like us 4-on-4 against these guys.

I believe it was the Sabres game, or the one before that had the Flyers announcers.

I think you are confusing it with the Phantoms PA announcer who got a puck in the face and his jaw is wired shut.

ah yes, and nolan is supposed to be filling in for him... sorry.

(the radio guys just mentioned that nolan isn't calling it... they aren't sure why either.)

Missed the first period come here and see 15 pages already. Was preparing for the worst but glad to see its 1-1. Sounds like it was a good first period.

With the PA announcer, I am pretty sure it was the Phantoms announcer who got hit in the face with a puck, and that Lou was going to be filling in for him. Not sure if the Phantoms have a home game tonight and hes just doing that, or maybe he is just sick.
