Ryder wins Calder with Raycroft and Pitkanen 2nd and 3rd

Murray LA coach of the year with Torterella and Julien runners up

brodeur the Vezina with Luongo theodore and Kiprasoff the likely others considered

Norris to Chara with schneider and pronger runners up

Hart to St Louis with Brodeur and Luongo runners up

This is my impressions without studying the comparable numbers, it is mind blowing if people don't have Micheal ryder in their top 2 for rookie of the year or Martin St Louis for their Hart winner.

If say, Iginla, Kovalchuk, and Nash were to all tie for the Rocket, what would the league do? Simply have all 3 accept the award? Give it to the guy with more total pts? OR better yet, have a mini skills comp...accuracy and breakaway on Broduer and then tally up the pts lol

Hart:
I cannot in good conscience see martin st louis win this thing when he's on a team with FOUR, count em FOUR other 20-goal scorers (already, and andreychuk will probably hit 20 too)

Yeah the guy's great but he's not that VALUABLE To the team as some other guys in teh league.

but i think he'll still get votes

so...

Hart:
Markus Naslund
Roberto Luongo
Martin St Louis

Calder:
Patrice Bergeron is only 18 which is impressive, but his stats aren't outstanding. Ryder, Malone, and Hunter's stats are amazing, but they're 23.

Meanwhile Raycroft, for a goalie at 23 is like a skater at 18. he's gotta win this thing

Calder:
Andrew Raycroft
Patrice Bergeron
Michael Ryder

Adams:
No contest. Andy Murray. Noone else has done such an amazing job while missing Deadmarsh, Palffy, and Allison - a top line MOST teams would have as their top line.

Adams:
Andy Murray
Ron Wilson
Bob Hartley

Selke:
Walz/Lehtinen have done nothing. Bobby Holik has been great if only because he's been GOOD, which is such an improvement over the last year of mediocrity
But draper wins this despite getting injured recently. St Louis is gonna get some votes just cuz his +/- is so high and his 7SHG. But he's not really a great defensive player. But he'll get votes

Selke:
Kris Draper
Martin St louis
Bobby Holik

Norris:
Lidstrom is having a quietly awesome year, while Schneider has been having one LOUDLY. I think both guys are deserving but most people would balk from voting for both of them which is why they'll split the vote and probably gonna end up 4th/5th. Gonchar also won't make it for his atrocious +/-
3 Months ago sheldon souray would've won this thing with his eyes closed but he's been injured for so long people have forgotten i think.
Adrian Aucoin has been consistent all year but not enough goals

Pronger has had an unbelievable comeback, he'll be up there.
So will be Mccabe - 2nd in points, 1st in goals, +14. I hate the leafs so this one hurts but he'll be up there.
But the winner has got to be zdeno chara

Norris:
Zdeno Chara
Chris Pronger
Bryan Mccabe

Vezina:
Brodeur, Luongo, Theodore. Go canada go.
Kiprusoff and toskala have been amazing too but havent played enough games. turco has been way too inconsistent. Aebisher will be hurt by his team's own forward core.

Vezina:
Roberto Luongo
Martin Brodeur
Jose Theodore

Lady Byng. Who knows how this award is awarded. SUre go with Brad Richards why not

Lady Bing
Brad Richards
Joe Sakic
Alexander Mogilny

Art Ross/Rocket Richard.

Richard: Kovalchuk, Iginla, Nash, Naslund
Art Ross: Naslund, St. Louis, Sakic, Tanguay

I dont understand how anyone can justify not having Ryder as either the winner or finalist. Don't get me wrong i think both Raycroft and Ryder has been awsome and those two surely have to be included in all the calder finalists. Ryder is leading rookies by 9 points, however there is a lot more to Ryder than stats. This guy is seriously underrated around here.

How can anyone choose Ken Hitchcock or Bob Hartley ahead of Darryl Sutter. That is insane. Sutter is the most underrated coach in the league and IMO deserves the Jack Adams, him or Andy Murray. Ron Wilson a close third.

I don't think there is a tiebreaking procedure - so, just like the Jennings last year, the award is shared.

Don't count out Patrik Elias. He's scored 14 goals in his past 14 games and now stands only 3 goals behind the leaders.

I agree. I rank him second to Raycroft in the Calder Trophy race.

Why do many think Chara will win? The guy, or Frankenstein's monster perhaps, only has one more point than Sheldon Souray who hasn't played since Feb. 10. When has anyone voting cared how well defensively a defenseman has performed in the past? Are you then going by Chara's +/- as the offensive stat that will bring him the Norris? Chara is 17th in scoring among defensemen. Sergei Gonchar is first

Vezina is a tough call. Luongo has a losing record and has been pulled from two games of late (New Jersey & Tampa Bay.) Robert Esche's numbers look really good. He has played some outstanding hockey this year. If he gets the bulk of the Flyers time in net down the stretch, he might factor in it. Marty Brodeur is has been playing with a lot of pressure this season. Earlier in the year, he said he felt like if he didn't shut out the opponent the Devils couldn't win. It is very difficult to find soft-goals among Brdoeur's GA.
