Prey v. Predators: Post Game THOUGHTS & TIDBITS

Yes, I have started the post game thread with 5 minutes left...no, I am not proclaiming the King will lose this game...though it isn't looking good...

When I squint really hard watching the guy in the suit, and closely watch the Kings' offensive system, I swear I see Andy Murray behind the bench.

Dump
Chase
Repeat

Play the puck along the boards
Ignore the center of the ice
Lose puck
Repeat

Good times.

I have a new drinking game that will get you blasted by the end of the first period.

Take a swig every time Bob Miller has to say, "Kings get the puck to the blue line but not out."

Momentarily, yes.

Was nice to see Simmonds smash his stick on the post after the game.

Am I the only one that thinks the Kings' "defensive system" has been a freakin joke the last 20 or so games? Along with the impotent breakout?

I mean seriously Murray, adapt. You've been scouted and now your system is getting abused. Hard to fault the players for that.

**** Stephane ****ing Auger. It's that same ref from the Montreal game.

The Kopitar pena;ty doesn't bother me so much as 30 seconds before that, Drewiske was trying to break out of the zone and a Pred reached out and grabbed him causing us to have to start over. Call all the ****ing penalites *******.

I am with you on that...
In the beginning of the season he was making too many changes now he is not changing and adapting to the situation..
On the bright side the Quacks are out of the playoffs as on now.

I still would have called interference on NASHVILLE for putting Kopi in the goalie...

Sorry guys, as much as I would love to disagree, I think the call on Kopitar was a good call.

Refs?

I honestly thought this was one of the better officiated games. I don't agree with the OT call, but overall it was much better than the usual Kings game.

Kings couldn't win the battles in their own zone when they lost the lead. They left Shea Weber alone who could step into the shot. Great pass from Erat to Ward (who I'm impressed by) on the shorthander and a little bad luck when JJ's stick dropped on the shot.

I was proud that they came back with a minute left though!

I'm also happy that Anaheim got knocked out of the current playoff picture.

What is up with this Auger guy?

Was his Family run over by The Kings bus or did a Kings player accidentally kill his mother with a redirected shot or what THE **** IS UP WITH HIS HATRED AGAINST THE KINGS.

Excuse me.

Did you see Weber's arms push Kopitar in the net? I didn't.

Do you need arms to interfere a guy or could it be done without?

Doesn't really matter since your team will enjoy the 1st round EXIT

Even without his arms, there wasn't enough momentum or force from Weber to cause that kind of collision to Rinne. Look at the replay, Weber fell with Kopitar but Weber's fall didn't have enough force to knock Rinne over.

Over the last 15 or so games, this team has really reminded me of the 07/08 Kings. Ew.

At least we took it to OT, which I didn't see happening. I left my girlfriend's house with about 5 minutes left in the third.

We've been laughably bad in overtime/shootouts this season. 11 extra point losses is pretty sad. We need some clutch on this team, and we need it badly.
