Avery's fight turned the momentum of the game. It is all downhill for the Wild now...

I've been as critical of Z at times as just about anyone, but if this kid DOES put it all together, he's going to be some kind of player.

PS: Gaborik would look pretty nice in one of those blue sweaters. To bad there is that little salary cap issue.

To be fair, can't you say this for 99% of our team?

Awsome 1st by Sauer!

He was very poised with the puck. Didn't look rattled. I don't know if that kid is here to stay, but he will be a mainstay in the near future.

So funny you said that b/c the same thing happened to me but maybe a second earlier, about as soon as he shot. Either way AWESOME!!!

Agreed, I felt the same way watching him move around our net and start moving the puck up the ice. Just looked real solid in his first period up

Yea but we even if we give him 9mil a year, his cap hit will prob be around a 1mil with the amount of games he will play

Zherdev also has 32 assists to Callahan's 14. That's important to consider when you're talking about a pass-first player like Zherdev.

That was my impression...in fact, he was better and more confident moving the puck than I expected.

I've always liked his potential. As much as I like what Morris has brought to the Rangers, if Sauer establishes himself, and Sanguinetti proves to be ready, the Rangers are better off long term NOT bringing back Morris, and dealing Rozsival...at least cap-wise.

How in da hell did Z do that from such an impossible angle? Simply amazing....wish we could see that a little more often out of him.

Sauer with 5 minutes of ice time....looks pretty solid so far.

Nice to see a goal late in the period. Ride the momentum wave.

Sanguinetti is nowhere near ready. I've seen a number of games this year. I suspect he'll be in Hartford for at least 2 more years. Del Zotto may very well pass him on the depth chart by then.

Z did drag the puck away from the goal-line ofc, but yeah it was a pretty sharp one. It definatley takes skill to net that one.

Hopefully he gets hot before the regular season's over and surpasses his career high at 27.

Or, maybe all of us Ranger fans can pitch in two bucks each and send it to him as a "bonus." Then Glenny could sign him for a buck like one of those fat cats on Wall Street.

Doesn't matter if there's an intermission in between we'll still give one up shortly after we get one.
