I liked MP1 and loved MP2. I will completely buy this game for the PS3, granted I have enough time to play it!

Rockstar Vancouver is developing the game, which will tell the story of a retired police detective embroiled in a world of corruption, turmoil and intense violence.

Didn't Condemned 2 do that same thing? The picture of bearded "Max" certainly looks like a Condemned 2 rip-off (not that Condemned was that original).

The game's not developed by Remedy, I might skip this.

I though MP2 was a bit of a dissapointment. Hoping this one will be as good as the first, which was excellent.

Which doesn't work well with Pc's at all.

As primarly a PC gamer (Wii and 360 collects dust) I have no faith in rockstar because the quality of their computer games and support has gone downhill.

Most Rockstar games are designed for the console and then ported. That's why most of the PC games suck.

Game Informer has Max Payne 3 as cover-story.

Needless to say, it's something entirely different.

1) It plays in Sao Paulo, not New York
2) Daylight...
3) No James McCaffery, because they want a "older" sounding voice

Gameplay doesn't sound too bad so far, but I'm not so sure if they have any idea what Max Payne is about. Not using James McCaffery as voice is about as stupid as it gets as well.

Sigh, if only Remedy was working on this...

So I'd figured I'd bump this thread since the new trailer is out for it. Good news as well is that their still going to have James McCaffery voice Max Payne.

Looks alright.....haven't played MP2 in years so I'm not really thinking "ZOMGZ!!! I can't wait!!!!" about this right now.

Now if this was GTA5 or Red Dead Redemption 2 on the other hand....

Looks pretty damn good.

I never played 2 but i remember 1 was a lot of fun. With the snow and everything. I'll keep my eye on this.

MP2 was okay but obviously a disappointment compared to MP1

Let's see how MP3 fares, did see a preview a few weeks ago, looks nice. Like the whole Brazil setting

It might be a good game, but it seems to have lost that graphic novel narrative which I enjoyed

Thats one thing too that I enjoyed as well. To me it helped create the noir feeling of the game better.

March can't come any sooner, hopefully this game lives up to MP1 and MP2 standards.

there's a framerate unlocked .exe for Bully ....

http://www.rage3d.com/Board/showpost...5&postcount=81

the game was limited to 30fps (so lame), but someone unlocked it. i tried it with the Steam version and it worked fine. version 1.20 i believe.

Bump!

I played the beta (maybe alpha?) demo at PAX East today. Here are my opinions:

The gameplay seems surprisingly solid for a beta demo a month before release. There were things that reminded me a lot of the original games. One thing I liked was when your primary weapon runs out of ammo, you'll run around with it in your hand and use your hand gun in the other until you find more ammo. You can drop it to move a little faster and get some faster reload time. I liked it for the realism factor. Unfortunately, while the game felt good, I still wasn't that impressed.

For some reason, when an enemy is about to kill you, you get a chance to go into bullet time automatically and kill them with a quick shot before they kill you. I see no reason for this aside from making the game easier. They do slow motion close ups on head shots or diving shots which get old really fast. But most importantly, while it feels like a good game, there really isn't anything that sets it apart from all the other games. It's good, but I feel like it'll be forgotten quickly. I'll probably buy it when I see it for <$20 and enjoy playing through it, but there's no way I'll pay more than that for this game.
