And Babchuck makes up for his earlier lapse with a goal. Nice.

I think Babchuk just redeemed himself for all the crap someone said about him earlier.

Hopefully Schubert is alright. Ruutu laid him out solidly there. Clean hit but damn you hate to see a guy down like that.

Canes are now as close to Washington as they are to Florida. Not that I think the division is within reach, but it's still something to think about.

Just keep on truckin' Canes... don't worry about other teams and keep winning and things will take care of themselves.

Holy FACK, what was up with hfboards? Couldn't get on for almost an hour. Wicked finish to the game. Keep the streak going and I move to 4-1. Whitney gets his 500th assist, Staal gets his 250th point. THE ANTON comes through again!

Also, don't look now but the Canes' goals against per game is best in the division.

HUGE win right there. This team is surprising me in all the good ways. Cam Ward continues to be the epitome of consistency. Babchuk... i'm out of superlatives. I think the best compliment I can give is that i'm no longer surprised. He is that player now. I also think that he has 20 goal potential considering he didn't find his role until halfway through the season.

To top it all off, the Florida Panthers implosion tonight gives us more breathing room away from them. The fact that we played a role in crippling their hopes for the postseason gives me a smile after them doing the same to us last year.

Tailgating hockey may be back in Carolina this season.

It was a very good solid game for both teams.

I was a bit pessimistic about outcome of tonight's game. I felt like Canes could become complacent and we'll observe a team coasting around to lose.

I am very pleased to see how resilent this team currently is. Every single line contributed, it was great to see. With Brind'Amour healthy and playing his best hockey of this season we finally have that second player in addition to Staal who can single handedly change the course of the
4th line are unsung heros of tonight. That scramble they started coordingated with final push by ECUGuy and his buddies against the Failboat were the turning points of this game.

I'd say we should shutdown Walker for season, with Cullen back there is really no spot for him in this team as of right now. I'd hate to see Conboy or Eaves to be scratched.

Also, I must admit I am starting to believe in this team. I am seeing dancing elephants...

OMG, I am turning into WalkerBabe.
