I obviously underestimated just how terrible Colorado is.

Wow, this must be the quietest GDT we've had in a long time. Did everyone turn off the TV by the second period?

The website blew up for a good portion of the game.

I can live with being a yotes fan, even though they are more unlikely than the Kings to help, either way Friday is a statement game

I missed the game, but have we ever chased a goalie back in before? That's pretty impressive. Granted it has as much to do with the other team sucking than our being good, but still.

It seems like Perry's doing well the past week or so. Even while Getzlaf has been sucking. That's good. Wisniewski looks like he had a good game too. I loved that pickup from the start.

Colorado wasnt as bad as the score indicates, but pretty close. I feel bad complaining about our goaltending after that debacle. Hope Rusty is alright as well.

Also, what is up with Ebbett being the guy who has to stand in front of the net? The guy is like 5'9" 170....the funny thing is he may be the best point shot tipper on the team. He gets a stick on a hell of a lot of shots.

Point shot tipper. Hm.

That game went really well. That first gaffe by Budaj really deflated his team... But then again how good would the Ducks be sans Getz and Ebbett?

Ducks deserved that game. They crammed it down CO's throat. Reminded me of game one of the second round in 06.

I wouldn't be surprised if ericnut steps out of the GDT spot now just to hear us all ask him to come back.

Great win...basically everything went in. That first goal seemed to deflate the Avalanche.

The Wiz is turning out to be a great pickup. Nokie is producing at a fairly high clip as well, which is encouraging.

Perry, Ebbett, and Selanne are playing great hockey as well. Good effort from Hiller. All around good night.

I loved the trade from the start as well...but I had no idea that the Wiz had an offensive flare as well. His shot is well above average and he has good hockey sense. I love the pickup...that was Murray's best trade at the deadline IMO.

And as much as I bagged the EC trade, the guy has produced offensively in virtually every game. He makes the 4th line/2nd PP unit much more dangerous.

If the Wiz can learn to skate in the offseason, he'll be an adequate top-4 d-man without Scotty Nieds to back him. He just seems to get into a lot of trouble because he's sloooooooww.

Ah yes game 1 of the second round against Colorado. The game was on Cinco De Mayo, I had a few too many shots at El Torito before we took the shuttle over. Broke one of my high heels walking/falling down one of the ramps at some point, man I loved those shoes. Ended up with a bruised knee, no fowl towel, and very little memory of the game besides standing and waving my fowl towel alot as we scored.

Were you the loud obnoxious girl in front of me, that was you? Just kidding.

It seems every time I go to a game I get surrounded by the drunks.

/agreed. I thought he was amazing his first game. He makes mistakes, but he'll learn well from Carlyle, Scotty, and Pronger.

Are you watching the same guy I am? Dude seems like a complete waste of space.

He has the same problem as Miller, indecisiveness and no physical play.

I can't see how anyone can want him or Miller to get minutes over Carter.

I want EC to get minutes over Carter for two reasons.

1) We sorta need his offence right now. 0.6 ppg is something Carter will never threaten

2) We need him to work out for the future or we've given a pretty good center prospect away for nothing. If he can turn it around it will be huge for us next season.

Every time I watched Chicago last season, I always came away impressed with Keith above all else, then Wisniewski and Seabrook were about equal. I knew he had a good shot, but yeah his offensive awareness is better than I expected.

Christensen hasn't looked that good to me. Although you are right that if he does succeed, his niche will probably be as a 4th line anchor scorer, and a PP and shootout specialist. I doubt he'll be worth O'Dell, but he could still serve a limited but useful role.
