Fixed. The one link I checked had him as a RW, but, you're right, he's listed everywhere else as a center.

Well he was projected as a 5th rounder at best before the draft. I was calling for Drayson Bowman on draft day - hadn't even heard of this guy at the time. Puck moving, offensive defenseman, very much in Pietrangelo's shadow. Great skater, PP QB potential. Needs to greatly improve defensive responsibility.

He quoted on Brennan, not Schiestel.

Yeah, I know a lot of people that have played against him...lot of offensive upside from the backline...defensively, well, uhh...he's got a lot of offensive upside...

Philip Larsen is probably a big unknown to most, but this kid will be in the NHL if he so chooses...he's a very smart player, smooth skater, excellent vision...he's undersized, but he's the real deal, has the smarts and talent to be a player in the NHL in the near future...probably should have been a top 50 or 60 player on draft day, slipped to Dallas in the fifth round, great value pick there...hopefully he comes over this year...

Larsen could make the Stars out of camp if he plays well. They need more offense out of their blue line.

much more likely Vishneskiy makes it -had agreat 3 game trial at end of year alot depends if Zubie comes back-they are also in the market for a top 4 d-man likely via trade-I suspect Benn could go given the retarded depth at LW (Morrow, Ott Neal Benn and Brunnstrom can play there as well

From the San Jose Sharks website

Quote:
SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the team has signed unrestricted free agent forward Kevin Henderson to an entry-level contract. In keeping with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Henderson spent the last two seasons with the University of New Brunswick and in 2008-09, finished T-5th in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) in scoring with 50 points (19 goals, 31 assists) in 28 games, tops on the team. He also added 28 penalty minutes and finished as a plus-31.

The six-foot-three, 208-pound native of Toronto, Ontario also spent two seasons with the Kitchener Rangers (2005-2007) prior to attending New Brunswick, including posting 48 points (33 goals, 15 assists) in 56 games in 2006-07.
I cannot remember the last time someone was signed out of Canadian University.

Hmm, I grew up with Henderson while he lived on my street. Great to see him get a chance.

Philadelphia Flyers appear to have signed Finnish defenceman Joonas Lehtivuori. Lehtivuori, who was a 4th round draft pick of the Flyers in 2006, had 12 points in 44 games for Ilves of the Finnish League.

Two sites have him signing with the Flyers, which is good enough for me.

My sources are saying it's an ATO for now...no confirmation on an actual contract.

He signed an ATO about a month ago. The Finnish link says he signed a 3 year deal according to my Finnish friend.
