The most important win of the season?!

Considering all of the circumstances right now......the playoff races, Kidd's troubles, the Leafs' recent slump, and the brutal luck in Buffalo.......was the Leafs HUGE 6-5 OT win their most important and significant win of the season??

I think this will be a huge turning point for the stretch run. The big guns scored when they had to tonight (even though Nolan's goals were flukes he still scored 2) and that is a good thing. Regardless of the way the goals were scored, the boys came together, didn't give up, and Kidd held them in there. So I'll say YES!

Yes!

Showed them work as a team... after playing like arse for the first two periods. They showed determination and heart... perseverance and complete responsibility for the way they were playing. Kidd held it together with a HUGE game saving save. This was probably one of the best games i've ever seen in all reality, action wise. Hopefully its a sign for things to come... Probably a huge kick to kidds confidence which could use some hightening.

Good Job boys!!!

Well, it sure felt like a Game 7 out there during the last 5 minutes and the OT.

It was probably a huge confidence builder, hopefully for the entire team, and hopefully for Kiddisgrace. I actually liked how some of the guys went to celebrate straight with Kiddisgrace rather than Kabby.....I guess it showed that Trevor is well-liked. I thought Aki Berg was going to kiss him. (Speaking of which.....another VERY strong game by Aki tonight). Then the mob around Kabby and the cluster around Kiddisgrace joined for the famous group hug that we haven't seen for a while.

That game was bigger to the boys in the room than we might believe. Hopefully it is something to build on.

P.S --> Ron Francis must be confused. He has played two road games for us, and there were as many Leafs fans in the crowd in Buffalo and Montreal as there are Canes fans at home games in Raleigh (*exaggerating......or am I?). I know Francis saw the Blue Army that made the trip down to N.C in the playoffs two years ago, but he really must have thought it was awesome. Kudos to all the members of Leaf Nation that made the HSBC into their personal playpen.

GO LEAFS GO

Yes.

It's important because it's a confidence builder.

This was the first game where the new guys Leetch and Francis really played a big role in an important victory and the buds finally slayed the Buffalo dragon. These guys looked like a TEAM for the first time in weeks. It would be a great time to begin another streak

Yes.

If we lost this IMO we woudldn't have much of a chance at home ice advantage.

Yes, it was a helluva big win - but the "four point game" comeback against Ottawa when we beat them 5-4 was a bigger win.

I agree, thats the one that sticks out in my mind. I voted No but the win last night was right up there as one of the most important ones.

Important yes, most important... probably not.
My vote goes to the proverbial 4pt'er against ottawa a few weeks back.
