Ever sneeze and your body immediately hurts elsewhere?

I have a cold right now and when I sneeze I feel muscle strain and pain on my body. It can be my right shoulder or my right arm. This is odd. It's like, the pressure of the sneeze somehow caused me to strain myself.

I'm definitely going to a doctor to check out my cold as it is, because I have other persistent issues that need to be addressed, but this sneezing-related muscle strain-type pain is just really odd.

I laugh when I hear about athletes going on the injured list due to sneezing, but now I know first hand why that is.

Believe it or not but I cracked a rib with a sneeze once. Hair line fracture would be the best way to describe it.

I get it bad in the neck, shoulders, and biceps. I'm pretty sure I've gotten minor muscle tears from the worse sneezes.

Don't try to hold them in. If they're coming, they're coming and all suppressing them does is increase your chances of injury. Especially around your ribs. Just try not to be restrained in any manner and let the sneeze do its thing.

Only when i have a cold do I feel like my stomach muscles are going to rip apart. The worst sneeze is the fart/sneeze combo, that just hurts.

I tried to hold a sneeze once and blew my throat out pretty bad. I couldn't swallow anything without pain for a week and had no voice for for days. It hurt bad enough that went online and checked to see symptoms of fracturing your larynx. That usually involves coughing blood, I wasn't doing that, so I didn't bother going to a doctor, but man it sucked. Blowing my nose was really painful, and I like to think I have a fairly high pain threshold.

Other than that yeah, my ribs especially can hurt after a sneeze.

Oh I don't, trust me. If I have to sneeze, I sneeze.

... well, provided I can sneeze. I hate it when you have to sneeze, and you're all ready to let it loose, and then inexplicably you can't. I even stare up into the light (which usually does the trick) and then it still doesn't happen.

I think I strained my groin from sneezing once. Strange because my inner thigh muscles are strong, can do the highest setting on that machine...

I've sneezed like 10 times tonight and every time I do my right arm hurts either near the shoulder or down around the elbow.

Every now and I get those painful sneezes, but they are fairly rare. But the time it did hurt, it was like full body pain.

I get this from particularly bad sneezes, though the pain is usually isolated in the shoulder/upper arm area. When the sneeze is really big, the pain can last for days, not unmanageable, but extremely uncomfortable.

It's bad when your body is in a wired position. They can do some damage.
