Diving? Yea......Just like how George Bush is still the President of US.....Move on from his rookie year. Embellishment on some calls....sure. I have seen Thornton do it, Iginla...etc.

Now, the crybaby part. Any time he talks to the refs he gets specific attention. If you're going to always think, he will whine...you'll see that. Hey, I would "whine" too if I get tripped and I could've won the game for my team [important game]. Plus, Captains talk to the refs....on several issues. Lidstrom "whines" a lot to the refs too.....I've seen him talk to the refs about penalty calls made.

The fact of the matter is that all the diving and crybaby thing is overblown. If you still want to believe that, go ahead......

He scores the GWG and gets his team 2 pts.

All of you taking shots at each other should be ashamed. Yeah, we're all pissed about losing this game, I am too. Be honest though, did you expect anything different playing in Pittsburgh?

The doomsayers here can go to hell. This team is making the playoffs. You are no fan of this team unless you think otherwise. I have faith in this team. I like what Torts is doing and I really think the team as is can make a serious run in the playoffs.
I think that's why most of us are angry. It's a big reason why I'm angry. Two big points were on the line and look what happens. The refs gift wrap the momentum of the third period for the Pens. I'm sorry, but that's ********.

The puck was going right by him. True some of the time its called and some of the time its not. However, to call 5 minutes on that one is a joke. That ref deserves to spend the rest of his career in the A. Totally horrible call and killed the Rangers. In big games you can't have the ref deciding the outcome and thats exactly what happened today.

We are pissed because it always seems like we get the short end of the calls against the Crybabies. There is a reason they are hated by Ranger fans almost as much as the Devils.

Yea...that's why he's always looking to pass to other players....who can't even convert 50% of his passes.

But if that satisfies you......go ahead.

I could only listen to Pittsburgh broadcast but they were harping on Sauer being benched after first two goals. Was he that bad? Seems that Mara was at fault for one of the goals.

Last I checked assists count as points too, right? I could be wrong though. I'll double check.

This is Lundqvist. He's always been this way. I don't know why it's just coming to the fore now.
But in years past he was able to completely shut down the opposing team and win games on his own.
He could be dominant.
It seems like he's lost the ability to bail this team out anymore.

You're probably right though.
I'm sure if there was some way to look at his overall record in big games, especially on the road, it wouldn't be good.

It was a good game until that call on Orr. Pittsburgh got huge momentum off of that and it wore down our 4 d-men. It was a bad call--two minutes at the most. After that there definitely should have been a call when Antropov got taken down by Dupuis. At that point I think the refs just had it in for us. I hate Crosby. I don't even like Malkin--but they are great players. It would have been nice to get at least a point out of this one.

I know, I was just expressing my awe that he played that much and managed to be +1 in a game where we gave up 5 goals.

Ahh yes let's blame the Refs it's the easy excuse. Give me the one call they made on the Rangers that wasn't a penalty? They all were the proper call with the possibilty of Orr call being a minor instead of a major. Now I will agree they missed one maybe 2 calls on the Rangers Antropov with about 10 left and Zhredev in the 1st when he went around the guy.

With that sad you didn't lose because of the Refs. You lost because 2 of the 4 goals were from Rangers d men stepping up and missing their guys or the puck. Forget who on the 1st goal but the guy I think Mara steps up in comes Talbot 2 on 1. Then you have Morris on the 3rd goal he steps up and does a good job getting back into the play as does Cally. Problem here is Redden decides to come all the way from right side to also go after the guy Cally is taking. Problem is he dishes the puck off and you have a 3 on 1 and Fedotenko put's it in. The winning goal was Crosby flying past Morris like he was standing still then shrugging off Redden for the GW. The 2nd goal of the game by Pitt. was just a case of crashing the crease. Pitt. was 0 for 10 on the PP the Rangers PK was great as Sam and Joe makes sure to tell us 40 times a game.
