It's hard to say because with all the injuries, no one really comes close. My guess would be Halak or Lapierre...

Lang.

He's #6 in points (tied with Pleks) and #4 in goals

Lapierre is a good choice.

I went with Halak because if it weren't for him, we'd be in 9th or 10th right now

Koivu, if Tanguay wasn't out for those 2 months he would've probably been my choice.

Lapierre with an H.M for Halak who provided some quality goaltending when we needed it most

Agreed, but it doesn't help that the other two best candidates were injured for significant lengths of time.

It would be Lang or Tanguay if neither had gotten hurt, but since they have both missed significant time, have to go with Lapierre. I love laps, but that shows you exactly what kind of struggles we have had this year, when laps is your #2 MVP...

Honestly, there isn't one, due only to injuries.

Robert Lang and Alex Tanguay are the only two other players who have demonstrated the consistency necessary to get any recognition in such a vote.

For that reason, I didn't vote.

Even though he's been injured since January, I'd say Lang. He surpassed almost everyone's expectations and played great.

Definitely Alex Tanguay for me.
37 in 43, 18 goals so far, probably a little over 20 goals by the end and around 45 points with about 50 games played. But... +14. On a team with such +/- problems, this stat really does stand out.

Edit : Also, another honorable mention is his shot %. 21.9%. Best on the team.

I think in stretches, you could easily argue Lang, Halak, Tanguay, Gorges and many others which actually reflects the problem of this team.

At the beginning of the season I wanted to shoot him with a gun, and now I want to put him on a pedestal, ah' the times they-are a' changing.

Maxim Lapierre
