3-29-09 Avs at Ducks 6 PM MT

Yeah there is a game today. At this point, who really cares right??

There isn't even a game preview in the Denver Post's on-line addition today...is that how sad it's become?

It would be an Avalanche record. The team has never lost 7 games in a row since moving to Denver.

I believe they've left out some game recaps lately too, if I'm not mistaken. AD brought it up in some of his recent articles.

I used to be so emotionally attached to this team. If they won, my day was made. If they lost, I was nothing nice to be around. At this point, I'll watch, but meh. Thank you Tyler Arnason and Tony Granato.

I definitely used to be the same. I still want the Avs to do well...by losing, I hope the keepers play well and the non-keepers blow chunks to really nail it in that those guys should be gone. I'd love to see the Avs lose every game from this point on, losing every game 10-9 in regulation, with all goals against due to poor goaltending, Tyler Arnason, and Brett Clark.

I'm kind of the same way.

An Avalanche loss was a bummer of a day and a win made a day even brighter.

I used to watch every second of every game. Now if there is an away game I'll have it on the TV, but might be spending some time in the next room on the computer with the volume on the TV turned up loud.

I don't get excited for games like I used to. It didn't used to matter who the Avs were playing, just that it was an Avs game. Force feeding me Tyler Arnason, Brett Clark, Brian Willsie, and Darcy Tucker has really sucked the life out of me as an Avs fan.

It's one thing if they are using those guys as they should, but they were misusing them long before 11 guys were injured.

I used to plan things around Avs games. If I was invited on a trip or planning one and I would have missed a home stand I would be much less inclined to go. Now when I'm planning out of town stuff I merely look at the schedule to see if I need to sell tickets or give them away for the games that I'll be out of town for.

I'm still doing my duty as a diehard Avs fan. I've sat at the Pepsi Center through the last 3 blowouts.

In a way I'm still emotionally invested in the team. I got really upset watching the two debacles against Edmonton and Anaheim and spent most of the rest of those nights discussing it on this board.

I guess what is different is that I just don't get excited like I used to.

The most excited I've been all season related to the Avs was seeing Peter Forsberg last night in Suite Two Hundred.

You kind of forget how fast Svatos is because he just gets close to the net all the time, but he just blew past the Ducks to get a chance on net.

Ducks up 3-1 to essentially secure the victory.

Ryan's second of the game, back-to-back goals for him.
