Here is the article: http://www.montrealgazette.com/sport...176/story.html

Quote:
“It’s not by chance” there are now so few French-speaking Quebecers on what was once the team of Maurice Richard, he said.

“The people who are federalists and the people who don’t wish Quebec to become a country, who don’t wish French to flourish, they know very well that you must take over a certain number of symbols of identity. And me, I believe there’s been a taking possession by the federal power over the Canadiens club.”
Please share your thoughts.

Call the insane asylum and ask them to do a head count.

Send a message via ICQ to Dutchy
Everytime I feel like the PQ makes sense, something like this happens.

This thread smells "Lock" from miles away... it will get out of hands really fast, like every language debate here...

LOL

Was just about to post this

This guy is the epitome of "a couple of screws loose"
And people voted for him?
Hockey comments aside, some of the other comments he made somewhat liken him to Jean-Marie Lepen

Epic fail

How long before this thread gets closed - You know, I'm so sick and tired of these stories. Can we just ban these type of threads altogether? They have nothing to do with hockey and everything to do with politics. You all know this is just going to degenerate into a **** slinging contest between posters of different opinions. Please I beg of all of you who want to post these type of threads - just don't do it.

A report by the Gazette on a "separatist"...

Just go look directly at the interview he gave on Télé-Québec, instead of reading these whinners.

P.S. I haven't seen the interview, but I surely won't read anything comming from the Gazette on that matter, that's for sure...

J-M Lepen quotes:

When Joan D' Arc was asked by her judges why as a Christian she did not love the British, she answered that she did love them, but she loved British in their country. In the same way, we do not hate the Turks, we love them, but in their country.
Jean-Marie Le Pen

When two drivers curse each other on the road, and one of them happens to be a Jew, you can't define that as anti-Semitic.
Jean-Marie Le Pen

The blame lies squarely with Dorchester

The guy should just go back to tv acting, at least he did a better job wasting our time on the tube.

As of right now things are cordial, so I'll allow it to stay open. We all know how quickly that can change, so we'll see what happens.

rabble rabble rabble. Pierre Curzi is trying to stir the pot with the hopes that he can lighten a nationalist flame in the avg. Quebecois.

but it won't stay that way - and it has nothing to do with hockey, it's just some BS wannabe politician spouting his equally BS opinion about a topic that is just so bloated in conspiracy that he farts ridiculousness out his a-hole every time he breaths.

but that's just my opinion

This. This article is just another way to stir some ****.

"As an old-school nationalist, Pierre Curzi, the Parti Québécois critic for language, often has his ceinture fléchée in a knot over something."

One one side, some moron seeing conspiracies and thinks english sucks, on the other, some moron using the same old retarded stereotypes to bash the french. Who knew.
