Those were lines used in practise. Julien never stated he was going to use them in a game. Everybody assume if players practise together they will play the next game together, but that isn't always the case.
Sundstrom being cleared to play might have been another reason.

Exactly. CJ was probably just trying something in practice.
I don't think we'll see Dagenais dressed again this season, and in fact he may have already played his last game as a Hab.

hes gonna be used as a reservist or hell play when well be assured of a spot in the playoffs. thats what im guessing, otherwise is a big liability, sucking at everything but shooting...

Yep, thats exactly what i see him as. A NHL filler
And with guys like Ryder, Zednik and Kovalev in the lineup, it seems that we don't need such an unidimensional player as Dags.
Scoring goals isn't all that matters... backing up is important too.
Anyway, I'm beginning to get tired of all this "How do you feel about Dags" thread... so I'll take a break from now on. There's so much more interresting stuff going with the Habs recently, why matters with a guy that haven't been on the roster for like 3 games?

If ALL you can do is backing up, it makes you an unidimensional player too....... Missing a GREAT scoring opportunity is as bad as not covering your man in the defensive zone.

Bah... I think that a guy like Bulis or Sundstrom may score less goal, but at least, you get the speed, a certain offensive talent and the defensive aspect of the game... all things that Dags lacks

Why speed if you have no talent? Gaetan Boucher or Tim Witherspoon would make great hockey players then. In my book, you CAN teach defense but you CAN'T teach talent. Anybody can play defense.

Anyway, go habs go!!!
Ciao bye,

Well, I thought I have talked about offensive talent too for Bulis and Sundstrom... my mistake (!?!?!?)

Fine he can score goals....but do you want honestly want him in the lineup? Its not like the team isn't playing their best hockey of the season. They are scoring like 4 goals a night. And if you want Dags in the lineup, then who do you take out? Dagenais is not a main stay on our team, get over it!

I like our lineup the way it is. And there is no room for Dagenais. I have never said otherwise.
The problem I have is that people are saying that goals are sooooooooooooo easy to score.

Yeah that's true. There isn't even a 40 goal scorer yet with 10 games left for every team. I was looking at the league stats when the Habs won the cup in '93. Selanne and Mogilny had 76, Bure had 60, Yzerman had 58 and so on.

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.... good ol' time... just give penalties when deserved and you'll see that good ol' hockey again
