Must lose game this one (this tanking lark feels well weird)

Bet Wilson and Parrish find their way back into the lineup

The way I see it, the playoffs are finally out of reach, and from the looks of it the Stars are headed towards a top 10 pick in the draft. So I'm cheering for them to win every game possible, and the other teams around them will decide where they end up. I've been cheering this team for too long this year to pull a 180 and go pro-tank, lol

I understand.

However, sometimes there is a greater good in losing.

The Mariners had the first overall pick locked up in MLB with 2 weeks to go in the season. They went on a mini hot streak and gave the Nationals the number 1 pick. They can now select the best sp spect that has EVER come out. Their franchise moves forward while Mariners take a few steps back even though they did win a little during those 2 weeks.

Am just guessing from what I've read after the game last night.

Plus, don't see the point in playing Marty in a meaningless game anyways.

I wouldn't be so sure Washington will draft Strasburg. Rumor has it Boras wants a $50 million signing bonus. There's at least a decent chance he ends up in Seattle.

Well there are financial things in MLB that are way different than NHL..

but regardless, the Nats put themselves in the position to select a phenom.

Now obviously, what we want the Stars to do/not to do, won't affect them one bit. Our team has character, and I doubt they are caring who/where/when we select in the draft.. they probably won't play with the guy for 2-3 seasons.

However, we as fans can acknowledge the ineptitude of the team we have right now. And it would be nice to cap a sweet off-season with a top 7 draft pick... and a stud to boot.

A loss tonight would push the Stars into a tie for 3rd longest losing streak in franchise history at 8 straight.

Franchise record is 10 in 1976.
