Your Favorite Shootout Move

I'm talking about the actual move more than how it was done in the videos I've posted. You know? Maybe you like the way Jokinen did Forsberg's move better or perhaps you thought Kane did a better job at Gagner's move. It doesn't matter...we're just talking about the move.

This is inspired by Omark's goal. Personally I think it's the best I've ever seen but there are still a lot of great candidates.

Datsyuk

Forsberg

Omark

Gagner

St. Louis

Bouchard

Malik

Schremp

Although Malik's move looks good, its really, really easy to do. Datsyuk's goal takes so much coordination to trick the goalie into diving, its silly.

Malik's goal was just ridiculous. He's got my vote. (The guy is 6'6 too!)

Forsberg, no question.

It maybe isn't the prettiest nor the hardest to pull off, but to do that move in a Olympic Final in the 7th round of the shootout's at the age of 20, is completely INSANE.

The prettiest one to look at tho, is either Omark or the Datsyuk goal.

Datsyuk and it really isn't close. I liked Omark's goal but Datsyuk's isn't fair.

Another thing I have noticed. What is so special about St. Louis's goal? It actually is not nice at all. I think Mike Ribeiro's through the legs one handed should be on there as well.

I think it's pretty nice but I know what you mean. It's one of the first videos I looked up. My standards got higher as I saw more videos and I forgot to delete it.

Okposo's kind of backhand toe drag is the only one that I can't seem to get down, but admittedly I haven't looked at it all that intently... regardless, it's still very hard to pull off. I'm not sure he does it consistently, but the time I saw him pull it, it was really clever. I always use either the Gagner, which usually fools them every time, or Datsyuk's backhand toe drag, but sometimes I get poke-checked, which means I'm not selling forehand enough.

My favorite is Gagner's fake shot, fake backhand to the forehand.

Stamkos' behind the legs is also a good one, if you can make sure it goes back to the other side of the net, which is kind of tough.

Omark is 2nd with 5 votes. Datsyuk has 7 and Forsberg has 4.

Hmmm.. I don't know. Without question, that move would require a lot of skill, but in the end, it just makes Omark look like a dick.

This is all in my opinion, anyway. Datsyuk just makes everyone look like a fool.

No Mike Reberio?

I also like Mike Richards although it is not fancy it's very effective. I mean that move works almost 80-90% of the time, watch most of his penalty shots and short handed break aways, same move, over and over, goal after goal.

Datsyuk's, with Omark's a close second.

Nothing beats the Datsyuk.

To be able to make a goalie look that stupid requires serious talent.

Don't know why, but I really like Parise's shootout goal aswell. (from this season against the Capitals)

Even tho it's a simple move he had Theodore out in the stands buying hot dogs.

Wow he just skated around Theodore

Vote goes to Forsberg though, although Datsyuk and Gagner come up in 2nd IMO.

Omarks was cool and all, but its just like a chip goal in soccer, they are cool to see, but not THAT impressive. Nice to see that it can be done in hockey though, don't know if it has EVER been done.
